I know you guys like when I update but I have written slow updates for a reason. I will update when I have time. Commenting "pls update" multiple times gets very repetitive. I get happy when I see a comment notification but when I look at it to see a "when will you update" or "update faster" comment it makes me feel not happy. I'd appreciate comments on the writing more so than update comments. I hope you understand this.

I walked towards the building with Antoine following right behind me.

I stopped, closed my eyes, and huffed.

I turned around to look at him.

"Okay. I don't know what you've been told but if you're going to be my...whatever you must be, you're not going to act weird. No following me. If you're going to be with me you'll walk beside me like a normal person." I cleared.

He did not say anything. He remained silent.

"Did you process anything I just said?" I asked. "Anything...anything at all?"

I groaned. "I don't have time for this."

I turned back around and walked in the building.

I walked to the reception desk and saw the lady there working diligently and focused on her work.

"Hi there. I'm Ella and I need to meet with Henry Hazner." I said.

I heard her scoff. "What makes you think that- oh my god. Miss. Ella. I mean Mrs. Hazner...no Miss. Westworth. Sorry ma'am. I did not realize it was you." She said.

I nodded. "That's quite fine. But if you could just tell me where he is I would appreciate it." I stated.

"He's currently in a meeting but you could wait in his old office which is now Mr. Matthew Hazner's office. Matthew is currently out of town on a business trip." She cleared.

I let out a breath of relief that I had no clue I was holding.

I nodded.

I knew where to go so I made my way to his office.

"You could either come in with me or stay out here. So which is it?" I asked Antoine.

Again. Silence.

"I'm not even going to bother." I huffed and went inside the office.

It was was exactly the same.

It smelled like him. His aura was here.

This was Matthews office for sure.

I walked towards the huge glass wall that I always loved about his office.

I looked out to see busy New York like always.

I then turned to look at his desk.

It was clean like usual. His computer was off.

I looked to see 2 picture frames beside it.

It shocked me to see a picture of Matthew and I. It was of us at our wedding day.

A ghost smile appeared at the thought. God did we dislike each other back then.

The second picture was of me and him. It looked like a press photo from one of the galas.
