"No," Speedy let out a small frustrated sigh but kept his cool when he saw the dumbfounded and flustered look across Side's face. A small pink blush covered his tanned cheeks and his blue/ purple eyes were filled with determination and hope, every now and then sparkling when Speedy would let a small chuckle out.
"Side...hold the ball. Okay, now try your best to dribble the ball" Speedy said with his arms crossed. Sidearms nodded and started to dribble like Speedy had showed him, the ball rough against his hands and his legs aching to run and give up but his mind telling him to stay for his boyfriend. Side let out a small huff and started to dribble with both hands as Speedy smiled proudly.
"Okay Sidey! Now move" Speedy said loudly and pushed Side a bit. Sidearms nodded and concentrated deeply and moved, legs moving swiftly as he wobbled with the ball. Sidearms suddenly lost control and let the ball role away as he ran after it. Speedy watching in astonishment at how someone could be so bad at just dribbling a ball.
Another hour had passed and Side finally got the base of dribbling and dodging,(surprisingly) Speedy being super proud that his boyfriend could actually do these thing.
Speedy sat down next to Side under a large maple tree and took his hand gently, Side scooting closer and resting his head on Speedy's shoulder. Speedy let out a small hum and held Side's hand tighter but in a loving way.
"Thank you" Side mumbled as he shut his eyes, the warm day shining brightly upon them through the cracks of branches and leaves. Speedy glanced down at Side who was smiling lightly, Speedy grinned and planted a small kiss on Sidearm's forehead.
"For..?" Speedy hummed out again. Sidearms let out a small giggle and opened his eyes. Sidearms lifted his head and moved so that he was now in Speedy's lap, face to face and only a few inches away from each others mouths. The smaller male looked lovingly into the bright pair of blue eyes that belonged to his amazing lover.
"For teaching me how to play basketball" Side giggled out earning a huge smile from Speedy, Speedy admiring how cute Sidearms could be at times.
"I didn't teach you anything, just how to dribble a ball and dodge" Speedy said and rolled his eyes playfully. Sidearms only shook his head and pressed his lips against Speedy's in a passionate kiss. Both sharing the same sparkle from when they first had kissed.
After a small few seconds the two pulled away and rested, Side on Speedy's chest. "I love you"
Sidearms mumbled and closed his eyes.
Speedy brought a hand up to meet Side's head and started to gently rub his head.
"I love you too~"
