It was the beginning of freshman year and I was so excited to be in high school. I was also just as nervous about becoming the "babies" of the school. I haven't talked to any of my friends since promotion other than my best friend. But me and her haven't physically seen each other since 7th grade but I knew that we would be fine. Other than me knowing her in my first hour I didn't know anyone so I decided to think of this as a fresh start.
It didn't really register that I was still gonna have to learn and interact with people so that meant I would have to make new friends. I didn't talk much in my next two classes but then 4th hour came and I knew that class would change my freshman year. The teacher wrote on the board "Welcome I'm Mrs.Tillrock, please have a seat anywhere and wait for further instructions." I then heard my name being called "Christine...Christine". My eyes then shot to the back of the room. I had seen 3 people that I knew in from my old school. So of course I go to sit with them. It was 2 boys and 1 girl and I had just made it to 2. Their names were Michael, Christopher, and Riley.
Since Michael and Riley were sitting next to each other I had no choice to sit next to Christopher.
From that moment me and Christopher got closer and closer. We would meet up in the morning before school and eat breakfast together. We would eat lunch together. It was like we were never apart, but when we were it was because he had a new girlfriend. It really didn't bother me much because I only seen him a friend then.
When he had girlfriends I would talk to boys I had little crushes on. But it wasn't until mid school year when I met him. I couldn't think straight I just wanted him. Little did I know he wanted me to but not in the same way. His name was Joey. He lived right down the street from me so it wasn't hard to see him. Joey was a bad boy, he would go out and party, drink and do drugs, thinking he was cool. Of course I had to be the one to fall for that. It was nights when he wasn't completely sober when we would hang out I would just chill with him until he was sober enough to go home. Those where the nights we got closer and closer. He would teach me how to ride his skateboard just to make time pass and I thought it was nice having someone to talk to and hang out with.

Then one night he asked for my number so we could text. All I could think was am I gonna be someone special to him or just another friend.
