Ch 4) Crash Course

Xander wakes up and sees a figure next to him in bed. He nearly shats himself. But then he remembered that it was Regan, so he tried to stop dying from shock. He got up, got dressed and made breakfast for his family. He wrote a letter to them saying,

" - Hey guys, good morning! If you are wondering where I am, I finally asked Regan if she would move in with me and she said yes!!! So, both of us have gone to go check out the apartment space and we will be back soon! Hope you enjoy your meal! -"

He went over to his room to wake up Regan, but she was already dressing so he waited outside for her to be polite. Once she came out, it was kind of awkward because of the whole incident the night before but, yeah... They go outside and hop in Xander's new 2022 Ford Focus and drive to their new apartment.

" Soooooo... that was weird last night..." Xander said trying to start up a conversation with his girlfriend.

" Yeah, but it was fun," Regan said. Xander and Regan looked at each other, but could not be serious, so they just laughed. They probably would have kissed like the weird couple they were, but Xander had to focus on the road, so they just held hands. Ugh, booooooring... They talk for a bit and before they knew it, they were there. Apartment Building-B. Xander and Regan walked in and asked the counter woman if they could talk to their "landlord". Xander, unable to wait, paid his rent for the month. The landlord lady finally came in, and just handed them their keys. Xander, with Regan, went up their 3 flights of stairs to their new apartment.

" [Takes in a deep breath] Whelp, here it is!" Xander said excitedly as they stood at the front of their door, "Apartment 16-B!" He put the key in the lock, turns, and opens the door, letting Regan in first.

" Wow, this is a lot space-ier than I imagined." Regan gasped as she walked in. Xander had the same idea, but did not want to be a copycat, or annoy her so he just kept quiet. They checked out the; master bedroom, two extra bedrooms and and two bathrooms. It was quite nice.

Both Xander and Regan, so eager to move in they go out to buy some furniture. But Regan forgot that she had not told her parents yet, so she calls them first. Her parents are not awake yet though, so they don't answer the phone. She just leaves a message.

Xander is already in the car so she just walks across the street. Her shoes are untied though so she bends down to fix them. Suddenly, almost out of nowhere she is on the ground unconscious, in a limp position.

Regan has been hit by a car.
