Chapter 7: Black Rat is Gone!

'Where did that bastard go?!'

I lost him by the time I reach the second floor. I turn towards my right; not there.

My left; I smirked.

'Found you.'

"Joey? Where are you right now."

"The food course."

"Get to the hat and jean sections. He's right next to your side."

"Roger. See you there."

After some time later, me and Joey met and began searching.

"Joey! Yugi!"

We heard Ryou's voice then followed it. What we saw; shocked us.

Right now, the situation in front of us shows that Ryou might've been pushed to the side and was about to be crushed by a table if it weren't for a guy WHO LOOKED AN EXACT REPLICA OF RYOU!? Only, he doesn't look friendly.

Not friendly at all.

"Ryou, are you alright?"

"Bakura?"

"Hey, Pharaoh."

I turn around to see the guy that I crash into. I blushed a bit before I quickly turn around.

'Damn it!'

"Yugi, listen. I'm fine. Black Rat escaped to the back. Hurry!"

"Alright. Joey. Stay here and help him."

"Got it."

I quickly made my way towards the back. My breathing came out as small pants but I didn't care.

"Where is that bastard?" I muttered and began searching. Being cautious I made sure to monitor my surroundings. Detecting any movement or sounds that might be caused by the Rat.

That's right. This is a game of hide-and-go-seek.

He's the rat.

I'm the cat.

I didn't know how much time has past. I was still searching for him. Waiting. Then I heard someone coming. I crouch low and silent myself. Noticing that the person is wearing black boots. Black Rat was wearing black boots.

'Closer....closer.'

Finally, when he was close enough.

I ambushed him.

"Black Rat!"

"W-Wait!"

I didn't realized what I was doing until it was too late. I back-flipped him. Smirking in victory, until I noticed something weird about him.

'Isn't Black Rat supposed to be buffy? Why is this guy not heavy enough?'

That's when I turn around to faced him. Only, he's not Black Rat.

"What the-!?"

He's the guy that I crash into back at the Game Center!

"H-Hey...."

He gave me a nervous smile; I glared at him.

"You followed me?"

"Uhhhh...."

I hold out my hand towards him, which he took before I pulled him up.

He was surprised a bit that such a small person can be so strong. I have to admit; I smirked at his reaction.

"Listen, I'm sorry-"

"Save it for later." I cut in harshly.

He stopped, but nodded. Giving me space to find what I was looking for. That's when I noticed that the back entrance door is open, slightly.

'It can't be?'

"Shit!"

I ran towards the door, and find myself correct. The door is open.

"Shit shit shit shit! He got the password."

I ran inside to find an elevator before making my way in.

"Wait!"

I quickly turn to see the guy running towards me before making his way inside the elevator that I am in. The door of the elevator closed. Bringing us down to the first floor.

That's when I started questioning the man.

"Who are you? Why did you follow me here?"

"My name is Yami Sennen. I follow you here to see what is going on and wanting to know who you are."

"Why? I don't even know you?"

"Not yet. In return for introducing myself, how about you tell me your name."

I was taken aback. I wasn't so sure if I should even tell him my name; I don't know the guy or trust him. I narrowed my eyes. Making him understand my suspicions.

"Don't worry. I'm not a bad guy."

"What if you are? What if you're lying to me?"

Yami sigh, before smirking. I cross my arms and turn my back away him. Not letting him see my face.

'Or my Ra! Why is he smirking!? Stop that! Wait....Ra? Oh no.'

"How about this. In return for telling you my name; you tell me your name for back flipping me just a few minutes ago."

"W-What?"

'Stay calm Yugi. Act natural and cool. If Yami can do it, then so can I.'

Yami's thoughts:

'Stay calm Yami. Act natural and don't screw up!'

"Well?"

I purposely waited. When the doors are finally open; I told him my name.

"My name is Yugi. Yugi Mutou."

"Yugi." He tested out the name. For some reason, I shivered when he said it. His tone was smooth, yet baritone, but have a warm feeling to it.

We began running.

Finding ourselves in the back storage of the mall.

"He could've went left and exit the front entrance of the mall, but the right side leads to a faster exit route."

"Then should we go and check the right?"

"Yes."

We reach our way towards the right before we found another door that is the ONLY way of escaping.

Anxious, I hover my hand on the presser before pushing it. The sound of the buzzer indicate that it is open. My eyes went wide before roughly opening the door and found myself in an alleyway behind the shopping mall.

"You just got to be kidding me."

Black Rat is gone.
