"Kenzie kenzie snap out of it ?" I finally get snapped out of my day dreaming with a gasp which I do quite often I hear . " Mackenzie are you like dead or something ?" My brother Cory questions .
"Oh sorry no I'm not dead what were you saying ?" I ask curiously not knowing what the hell he just said .
"You got to stop doing that it is really weird you know that ,oh and I'm going out with Lisa ." he mumbles she's Cory's girlfriend I don't mind her she's not the worst but hey I don't know her .
"Okay bye enjoy ." I say bluntly .
After he left I was home alone with my other brother Axle . My moms at her pals house and my dads at work .My dads a travel agent so I never get to see him .
Ding dong ding dong
"Mackenzie open the door for the boys ." Michael shouts from his room .
Could he not prepare me .
As I open the door I've got three faces looking at me like I'm crazy . "Hello come in ." all three wait why are there three there is normally just Steven and Chance the. They nodded and walked in . "How -" I cut Chance off "Yeah yeah I know I look like crap just go up stairs his in his room ." I point to his room . These boy practically live here obviously they know were to go well at least two off them .
"I was just gonna ask you how you are but okaay ." he drew out the okaay they all went off to the room .
I headed to mine room. I stepped into the plain room . Well it used to be colourful and bright but after the passing of my six months ago sister Lisa just thinking of her right now I started crying .Well after she passed I could do the things I did be for me, because it reminded me of her to much and I could not handle it . It was so bad that I shoved all my old stuff in a box and put it in the attic . I used to ride a skateboard ,play guitar hero , listen to music , have lots of photo frames around my room ( with pictures in them ) and now my rooms plain I just can't handle it .
She died from a stupid idiot driving over her while she was walking across the street . That day we had a fight and I didn't have time to say sorry . It was all my fault . Now I burst into tears that I couldn't control . Just thinking about her did that to me imagine if I had room full of memories with her .
She was only only a year younger than me (16) and it was all my fault she died if I didn't pick a fight with her that caused her to storm out the house she would of still been alive .
Knock knock
"Yes ." I answer wiping my tears away.
"Umm never mind ." I hear a strange voice .
I head to the door and open it to see the tall brunette boy I saw earlier walking down the hall .
"Wait what did you want ?" I shout after him . He turned to face me .
"Well your brother - wait are you okay ?" He look at me will confusion and sorrow .
"Yeah I suppose it's nothing anyway carry on ." I say wiping my eyes again.
"Well your brother said that you were alone I wanted to ask if you wanted to come play Xbox with us ?" He came closer to me .
"Um no thanks kinda got some homework to do ." I lied threw my teeth I don't even have homework just knowing I have to go into Axles room .
"Oh sorry we haven't properly meet I'm Calvin Calvin woods ." He put his hand out to shake mine .
"Mackenzie Mackenzie Idison ." shaking his hand .
"MACKENZIE POUR US SOME DRINKS !" Axel screams from his room .
"OKAY WHAT DO YOU WANT ?" I shout back .
"COKE ?" He shouts back again .
After our beautiful communication I head to the kitchen .
"Do you want some help carrying the glasses up ?" Calvin asks .I turn around to face him and only then I realize how attractive he is . Gross Mackenzie his your brothers friend what would Lisa think of this but his really kind .No stop .
"Hey Mackenzie are you alright ?" I jump out of my day dreaming to see the handsome brunette with a worried look on his gorgeous face .
"Oh yes sorry and yes please ." I nod as the worried look disappears turning into a soft smile .
After we take the few steps to the kitchen . I open the fridge to take out the bottle of coke and put it on the island in the middle of the kitchen , and head to get glasses there's awkward silence . As I take the cups out Calvin breaks the silence "Um so how old are you ?"
"Oh me I'm 17 and you ?" I say pointing at him .
"Oh 17 isn't Axle 17 to ?" He questions with a confused look on his face causing me to chuckle as I pour the coke into the glasses .
" Oh he didn't tell you we twins ." His face turns into a surprised look and causing me this time to burst into full on laughter he follows .
When last did laugh like that, that felt good .
He helped me carry the glasses up to the room .
"Thanks kenzie ."my brother doesn't even turn his head to look at me his to concentrated in his game .
"Sure you don't want to play ?" Calvin asks .
"Nah I'm good thanks ." I turn and head to my room .
