4 hours of driving had brought me to Gavins house. My heart racing, I jumped off the bike and sprinted to the front door. Immediately I rang the door bell, and the second after I regretted it. What if May answered, then what? What if the letter lied, and Gavin really did hate me? I was just about to turn and leave when the door open, revealing Gavin standing in the door, looking more handsome than ever. In total silence we just stared at each other. Stuttering, I spoke first.
"Gavin, I.. I am so sorry... I wish I cou-" I was soon cut off, finding it hard to speak with his lips pressed against mine. I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him back, his arms wrapping around my waist. He pulled me in closer and closer untill we were pressed togehter, wrapped in a passionate embrace. My hear beat a thousand miles a minute. It was wonderful finding myself in his embrace again. I thought nothing could go wrong. Everything would be perfect as long as I was in his arms....
BANG!!!!
The shot sounded in my ears as I felt strange. My knees collapsed under me, and I fell to the groud, Gavin holding me, a scared look on his face. I look down to see blood coming from my lower chest. Everything begins to feel oddly distant, and I let all my muscles relax. I hardly feel the ground under me. Gavin is above me, looking down with a phone pressed to his ear. I see his mouth move, but his words are oddly distant, too faint to hear. My vision blurrs in and out, and things seem to get darker. I look up at Gavin, meeting his eyes. I smile, feeling oddly at peace. I open my mouth to tell him that I love him, and not to be sad, but the words are lost as I close my eyes and sink into a peaceful darkness.

The day he buried her it was sunny. It was wierd to him. I seemed as if the world didnt care that she was dead. For him, it didnt seem like life could go on without her. But the funeral had been nice. An entire town came to pay their respects. One plump older woman even cried in his arms. It was almost too much to bare. That wasn't even the most painful part. Despite the police's efforts, her killer has never been caught. She died in his arms only a week ago, but he could still see the look in her eyes, how peaceful she had felt. That was the only comfort he had left, knowing she was not in pain when she died.
