"Um, Trent?" He looked at me scared, and I didn't know why.

"It's not what it looks like, I promise." Courtney got up from the bed and put her shirt back on. This was just great, the guy I loved left me for Courtney and the guy I was using for love left me for Courtney. I really don't like Courtney at the moment.

"Gwen, look. I'm sorry. I know this must be hard to take in and I understand if you don't want to be my friend after this, but I love Trent. I only said yes to Duncan so I could break his heart like he broke mine. Do you really think I'm that stupid?"

"Well, I guess not. Also, I was on my way to break up with you Trent. I guess this worked out." He sighed and ruffled his hair back to how it originally looked. I couldn't tell if he was sad or relieved so I just walked out of the room. I didn't want Duncan to get hurt so I decided to visit him and just talk. It had been a while since we talked as just friends. I knocked on his door and he opened it shirtless, dear God.

"Hey, can I come in?" He motioned for me to enter so I followed.

"What do you need?"

"I felt like we haven't talked in a while, what's up?" He sat down and patted a spot beside him, I eagerly joined. I didn't know how to tell him about the whole Courtney deal so I just blurted it before he could respond to my previous questions.

"I saw Trent and Courtney together!" He didn't say anything and just sat down. I was expecting him to yell or accuse me of lying, but nothing came out of his mouth.

"Did you hear me? Hello, earth to Duncan." I waved my hand up and down in front of his face and he snapped out of his daze.

"Where are they now?" I gave him a saddened look but he returned it with an angry expression.

"Duncan..."

"Shut up! Where is he?"

"I don't think that's the best thing for you right now and besides we can..." He interrupted me harshly.

"We can what? Talk? Is that what you want? For us to be friends again? You dangled Trent in front of me so you could use me. You never loved me, you felt sorry for me."

"How does this have anything to do with me? Your the one who basically ended it."

"Look, just go. I will find him on my own."

"No! I don't care if you choose to believe me or not, but I love you so much. You mean everything to me!" He pushed past me and tried to leave the room but I grabbed his shoulder. He tried to shove me away, but I didn't let go. He turned around and smacked me. I let go of his arm and sat down on his bed. He didn't know what happened until he looked at my face.

His expressions was irreplaceable. It had a mixture of regret and hate.

"Gwen, I didn't mean too." I didn't say anything else, I just got up and walked out of the room. I seemed to have a horrible time with guys. I passed Trent's room and the door was still opened. I tried to sneak past, but Trent saw me. He walked out and called after me.

"Gwen!"

"Go away!" He didn't listen and hurried up to me.

"What do you want?"

"What's wrong? Why are you holding your eye?"

"Nothing, just please leave me alone."

Before he could ask anything else, I reached my room and locked the door behind me. I heard him knock, but I just slid down the side. My life was so fucked up, and I didn't see a purpose of even being here. No amount of money was worth this amount of emotional trauma. I heard phrases of an argument coming from outside my door, so I peeped through the hole and saw Duncan. He was yelling at Trent and then shoved him away from the door.

"Gwen! Open up, it's Duncan. I know your in there." I ignored his plea and finally he gave up. I walked away from the door and snuck out the window. I needed some time to myself.
