A Day At The Academy

Normal POV

"Try again and spin the staff before turning around!" Sarah said as she walks around training some students. A boy huffs and looks over at Sarah.

"This is pointless, Ms. Hates!" The boy said. Sarah sighs.

"Jackson. This training can save your life and many others." Sarah said as the boy groans.

"But why this training. When can we use real weapons?!" Jackson complains.

"Because you have to be older to use them. You're only 14. Come." Sarah said walking to the middle of the court. Jackson follows.

"What are we doing?" Jackson asked as the students form a circle around the two. Jason comes in and leans on the balcony watching over Sarah and Jackson.

"Practice. Come at me. I'll be a monster and you the hunter." Sarah said. Jackson attacks. He swings the staff at her from the right and Sarah jumps landing on top of it. Jackson looks up and growls. Sarah jumps off doing backdrops as Jackson swings the staff at her. Jackson thrusts the staff at Sarah and Sarah grabs it and sweeps Jackson off his feet. Jackson lands on his back and Sarah taps his chest with the staff.

"Dead. No corrupted monster or human will go easy on you, Jackson." Sarah said and helps Jackson up off the ground. Jason lands beside them.

"Your mother is right, Jackson. This training can help anyone who tries. That is why I built this academy. To help kids and adults protect themselves and others. I have a feeling that the battle between us and the corrupted one has only just began. Of we lose, there will be no place safe for anyone no more." Jason said and ruffles Jackson's black hair. Sarah twirls the staff and held out for Jackson to take.

"If there was a place were no more was safe and we were gone. You had to choose between the good and the corrupted. Would you give up and be killed or die trying to save your follow students? Which would you choose?" Sarah asked her son. Jackson looks up at his mom.

"I would...die trying to save someone. If I give up and the. There would be little lots younger than me trying to fight and die because I give up. I won't let that happen!" Jackson said and grabs the staff. Sarah lets go and Jackson continues his training. Jason places his arm around his wife's shoulders.

"We raised a good family." Jason said and Sarah nods.

"Yes, we did. From what we saw, only time can tell when they are ready for the real fight." Sarah said and Jason kissed her forehead. Sarah looks up and pecks Jason's lips before resting her head on his chest. Jason hugs her.

"Don't worry. They will be ready in time, dear." Jason said. Sarah hums.

"I hope you're right." Sarah said.

"I hope so too. I hope so." Jason said. Then a loud high pitch sound ethos through the training grounds and everyone covers their eats. It stops and everyone looks around. Roxy leans over on the balcony railing.

"Jason! I need some windows fixed again! One of my students played the wrong note!" Roxy yells as Jason groans.

"Come on! That's the fifteenth time this month! What are you teaching them?! How to kill a monster with a high note? That will certainly work!" Jason said as he jumps up over the railing and walks with Roxy down the hallway. Sarah chuckles and claps her hands.

"Alright class. That's it for this lesson. Head to your next class." Sarah said and the kids puts their away and grab their bags.

"Remember to do your homework, pratctice what I taught you because your have a quiz in three days. Bye!" Sarah said and she passed out the homework sheets as each student walk by.
