Does it matter?

Do you remember when it didn't matter?
Self confidence wasn't an issue, someone was there to lend you a tissue.
Hearts weren't broken.
Words were easy, bad ones weren't spoken.
We didn't care about makeup, clothes, or hair.
We cared about who had the coolest hot wheels or how our stuffie feels.
The cool kids were the weird ones.
My backpack didn't weigh a ton.
Nobody judged if you were different, we embraced it.
If someone had a problem, we'd help 'em face it.
If we broke down, we'd build eachother up.
We wouldn't stretch each other's trust.
It wasn't about that guy who doesn't care.
He doesn't, so neither should you.
I do...
That's the problem.
We are taught to care.
We care too much, about too much and think too much about it all.
This problem can't be fixed, without it being broken.
