Hey I know I haven't posted in a while. I've been kind of busy... And lazy. Here's the new part of fire heart. I started getting lazy on the other parts so I deleted them. Sorry, this is the fifth part. After they jump out of the bus.
The flaxen blaze from the lights of the bus. It kept advancing down the inky street.
Max sat on top of James. Looking around frantically for the man she saw before.
"Why hello there." James said from under Max. Max jumped up and kicked James.
"You dirty rat!" She said brushing herself off.
"What the heck! That hurt!"
"I hope you bleed and die maggot."
"Is it that time of the month again?"
"Idiot." Max said rolling her eyes. James gave her flashed her another smirk. Dirt covered his muted face. His charcoal eyes filled with joy as he tormented Max with his gaze.
"Why'd we jump off the bus?" He asked rising from the dusty soil on the bare bitter ground. They could barely see anything besides the illuminating oily glow of the lamppost that shined on the road showing stagnate fields of golden wheat. Now wind could be heard whispering only the cold still night.
"You have a problem with jumping off buses?" Max asked defensively. Her stance was steady and stationed as if she was ready to sock James in the jaw. She digressed and calmed down.
"Umm.. Yeah. I don't know if you just jump off buses for fun or something but personally I don't enjoy it."
"Maybe I do jump off buses for fun! Your just slowing me down from jumping off of buses!"
"Sorry, I'm interrupting your fun death wish of a life. Wow you really do need me, your gonna end up killing yourself."
"I'll kill you first!"
"Wow love you too." Max rolled her eyes and say on the ground. Covering her colorless, bloodless face with the palms of her hands. They were cold palms, she longed for warmth.
They sat in the hush of the night. Waiting for something to happen.
"Hey," James spoke. "Your really cold, you know that?"
"Yeah, I know." Max answered.
"Would you mind telling me your real name Max?" James asked.
Max stared at him silently for a few moments. "Sophie, the names Sophie." She said. There was no point in keeping it a secret.
"Sophie? That's a pretty name, sounds familiar." James said. "Then again it is a common name." Sophie smiled. "Oh my god! Is that a smile? I can't believe it, the dead heartless girl is smiling!"
Sophie scolded him. "Idiot." She said rolling her eyes.
"You know if you roll your eyes too much there going to fall out of your head." Sophie began to roll her eyes and then stopped. "It seriously is freezing." James said scooting closer. "Would you mind I sat closer?"
"No way!" Sophie said scooting away.
"You need an attack from the hug monster."
"You need an attack from my face!!"
"I think your right about that one."
"No! Shioot!"
"Hug monster!" James shouted embracing Sophie into a warm hug. Sophie began to feel heat go through her veins, warming her cold dead heart.
"James."
"Yeah?"
"I really hate you."
"Love you too."
