The rain was so gentle on the moonless night, it gentley padded against the ground, as if it were trying not to wake any warrior.

Krystalpaw was an apprentice of Berrysplash, a white she cat with grey ear tips and paws.

"No, Krystalpaw, you use Dandelion leaves to calm a cat down, not Daisy leaves," The she-cat gentley instructed.

"How did you learn that?" Asked Krystalpaw, as she knew most medicine cats didn't know that. As she waited for an answer, she looked out of the cave, and noticed the water was high.

"Should the water be that high?" She asked, tapping her mentors shoulder with her tail.

"I'm sure its fine," whispered Berrysplash, without looking up.

Krystalpaw narrowed her eyes, she then slowly padded out of the den, "Berrynose!" She shrieked, and her mentor jumped up to her paws.

"It's Berrysplash," she hissed, and her anger was quick to turn to horror when she saw it in the distance, a wave of water was heading to the camp, and was high enough to knock over the nursery, which would mean-

Quickly Krystalpaw ran back into the medicine cat cave, knocking down some yew berries, which never occurred to Krystalpaw to wonder why.

"Krystalpaw? What are you doing?" Yowled the medicine cat, and she began to run to the nursery, "everybody evacuate camp!" She screeched.

Krystalpaw ran out with some witch hazel in her mouth, she ran to the elders den, knowing they would be in need of this herb, when she entered, she could see littleflower struggling to her paws, so Krystalpaw helped her up, noticing the elder was extremely thin.

"T-thanks" stuttered the elder, she had only one eyes, as one was clawed out by Windclan.

"No problem" she mumbled, and she gently placed down some Witch Hazel, "take some, it'll help, I promise" she whispered.

-

Berrysplash narrowed her eyes, where was her apprentice? She then let out a screech of terror as the wave came crashing into camp, knocking over a medium sized pine tree, which landed ontop of the apprentice den.

She began to run, but the water swept her from her paws, and her head sent under water. She struggled to swim up, but the water had been so freezing it knocked the wind out of her.

She tried to leg out a screech, but to her dismay, it seemed no one heard a thing, and so she struggled to swim up, but she was so dizzy, what way was up?

Suddenly, she felt her scruff being tugged, and she was dragged out of the water.

Everything was blurry, she couldn't hear what was going on, except for her brothers gentle and soothing voice, which was full of concern.

"Berrysplash?" He whispered, and groomed her shoulder.

Berrysplash suddenly leaned forward, and coughed out blood, she felt a stab of pain in her chest, and she began to gasp for air, her breathing pathetic and raunchy.

She closed her eyes, and her world was quickly blurring again, the cats surrounding her now just grey and brown dots, and her eyes were so sore, and she closed them, but could no longer open them.

-

Krystalpaw was sitting with her group of clanmate, who all were equally concerned for Berrysplash.

"I'm going to find herbs," Krystalpaw suddenly announced, and she looked at silverstar.

Silverstar nodded, "bramblepaw, may you assist her?" She asked, her voice weak from the stressful hour.

"Yes, of course," he whispered, and padded up to his litter mate.

Krystalpaw nodded, and began to leave, "first we should get dandelion leaves to calm them down... Or maybe we should g-" she was cut off by her brother, who was giving her a look.

"You're talking out loud," he meowed, his eyes glimmering with amusement, and then he playfully shoved her.

"Hey, stop that," she laughed, and then she pounced at his side, and he ducked, causing her to tumble down a hill.

Bramblepaw ran to his sister, which was staring at the quick flow of the flood.

"All the work we have done, and then this happens," she whispered, her eyes clouded with grief.

"Hey, cheer up," Bramblepaw meowed, and cuffed her.

"What's there to be happy about?" She asked, and Bramblepaw desperately wanted to help, but she was right...

So he stood up, but lost his footing in the mud, and the rain wasn't helping, and he crashed into Krystalpaw, and all he would be able to recall was her deathly screech, and her plummeting into the current.
