Chapter 1

It was a usual Saturday morning in the Swirly cafe. The smell of bacon and fried eggs filled the atmosphere. I was sitting alone, looking at people eating, laughing and unaware of the dangers of tomorrow. Isn't it strange when your life is so perfect and you're oblivious to the fact of whats gonna happen tomorrow, everything goes according to plan and then suddenly your life is upside down, you feel deceived, crestfallen and then you start to hate people. That's what happened to me.
My name is Gloria and I am 17 years old, studying in Saints John. I don't have a father, he was murdered by some people. My mother works for the expenses and my little sister Lilly is in kindergarten. I was sitting, enjoying my cup of coffee and reading archie comics. laughing out loud on some occasions, gaining me a few glares from people.
Suddenly I realize that a blonde girl was standing in front of me and watching me the whole time. A bit agitated and embarrassed i smiled at her and continued my breakfast. The blonde girl comes near and says "Hi!" I look at her and nod in return. "Can I sit with you?" the girl says in a squeaky little annoying voice, I nodded again. I am a little shy, especially when it comes to strangers. She sat in front of me. She was quite pretty with her long silky blonde hair, brown eyes which had a mysterious glint in them. Te girl was wearing a baggy red shirt and a black denim. "Hi! Um I'm Margret, what's your name?"
"Gloria" I reciprocated. "Gloria! Wow my grandmother was named Gloria, Gloria" she replies laughing. "Ok!" I Say annoyingly and start to read Archie again. "So..." she says annoyingly, "Are you the girl with the dead father?....uh no..I meant that....."
Just then a burly man comes with greasy unmade hair and clothes, "Excuse me girls sorry to disturb your girly talk but do you want to order something else cause this restaurant is for eating not brats like you talking and losing our customers", he points to the queue of customers, "if you're finished then you and your friend can leave". He boomed and pounded his fists on the table making the contents on it to shake Margret was about to say something. "Um well... Me and my friend would like to have two blue berry shakes, thanks", she says smiling, showing her perfect white teeth. "Actually make that one".
I say getting up, leaving the tip on the table and start walking towards the exit, not even looking back at Margret.!
How dare she say that about my father, she has no idea what happened to him? I think crossing the road. "that stupid bit..."
*screech*
"What the..." I jump backwards as a black mustang passes by me "dumbass!" I scream. The car stops. Shit, me and my big mouth. The driver seat door opens and a boy of 18 gets out and comes towards me with a stupid smirk plastered on his face. He was wearing a black leather jacket with blue denims, he was tall; masculine had brown short brunette hair, green eyes and high cheek bones. Wow he's cute,
Ugh shut up Gloria
WAIT I'VE SEEN HIM SOMEWHERE!
"Really?" he says arching his eyebrows.
Shit did I say that out loud?
"Actually yes" he says snickering
"Ugh. Whatever, I meant to say it out loud " I says ticking my tongue out.
"So stranger where have you seen me?"
"Stop talking to me ok? You almost killed me"
"Sorry! I was a bit distracted"
Well that was easy
"So where have you seen me?" he says again narrowing his eyebrows
"I won't tell you...and next time drive carefully, or you'll kill someone" I say coldly turning away, walking the other direction
"WAIT!" he calls behind me "At least tell me your name!"
"How about no?" I smile sarcastically
"Well that'd be a shame, for a handsome guy like me bd a pretty girl like you don't have each other numbers" he says wriggling his eyebrows.
"Eww!! Gross"
"What? What did I say?"
"Look, I should not talk to you because you almost killed me, now BYE" I say walking the other way.
