The next morning..
I walked on into the schools corridor ready for this bullshit ass day. I hate Thursdays for some reason.
"Xavier"
Selena stops me at my locker.
"What?"
"Come over tonight. My parents are going out"
I see Kennedy come out the office and go to her two Bestfriends. Now would be the time to apologize..
Just finding out Selena and Kennedy are step sisters was surprising, nether of them talk about it. But It's weird.
She turns to see who I'm looking at "just text me later" I leave her going to Kennedy..
"Look who graced us with his presence"Aria says. I smirk
"I need to talk to Kennedy"
"ur not going to yell at me like I killed ur dog?" She was referring to my last outburst at her
"No" I verbally promise
"Don't hurt our friend" Steven says as he and Aria walk away
"What?"
She's the only girl I've come in contact with that doesn't like me off the bat, isn't scared to talk to me, or likes me. It's different.
"About my rudeness the other day.." I scratch the back of my neck
"Oh your going to apologize?"
For someone only 5 foot 6 she's so fucking bold and that mouth on her is annoying.
Her natural black hair and hazel eyes intrigue me. Always
"I had other things going on that day and you getting yogurt on me made me blow up... I apologize Kennedy"
"I understand. Did it come out?"
"I don't know. I got home and threw the clothes away"
"I would have washed them for you"
"I'm a metrosexual male. I went to buy more clothes to replace them"
"Oh. Well... Thanks for the apology. I felt really bad after"
"Yeah. I'm sorry I yelled at you. Maybe we can start over...be friends"
She nods"that's cool"
"Okay. I'll se you at lunch"
She smiles "okay"

I have practice today finally. I miss it even though it's only been 2 days. For lunch I thought I'd buy a subway sandwich. Haven't had a sandwich in a long time.
My table was lonely but Kennedy was lonelier.. I went to sit by her with my sandwich and chips about to grub. She had a chicken salad and water.
I shake my head
"What?"
"Why do girls eat like that?"
She looks at her lunch quizzed "a salad?"
"Yeah.. I'll eat that and still be hungry"
"Well I was going to get a pizza but I forgot my money at home. But this is good enough"
Seeing that I have practice today I shouldn't eat both halves of these.. "Do you like Bacon and turkey?"
She nods
I slide over the other half of my sandwich. She was going to object but stopped herself then pulling a power aid out of her gym bag sliding it over to me.
"I'm sure your going to get thirsty" a smile peers on her perfect face.
"Thank you"
Kennedy's point of view;
For that split second his face was soft and kind and inviting. Xavier King was nice. Nice to me😮
His features went back to hard when Jesse, Eddie, and Aria came.
"Hey" I say to my little brother
"Do you have 2 dollars?"
"No, why?"
"I'm hungry" I push my sandwich to him but he declines.
"Did you make a sell today Eddie?"
"Two 5's one ten"
Xavier goes in his pocket and gives him 5 dollars."keep it"
"Thanks" Eddie gets up with money and walks away to the lunch line.
I look at Xavier mouthing a thank you. He nods and goes back to eating. Maybe this prick isn't such a prick after all.
"So pool party at my house. Just a few of us though" Jesse announces
"When?"
"Today. Good day to spend a Friday night"
"I'll be there. After my interview"
"Bring B too. If she wants to come"
"I'll see"
"You should spend the night after. My parents aren't going to be home" Aria smiles
"Sleepover!"
"But I'm not invited" Jesse rolls his eyes
"Sorry. My stepsister is a snitch"
"I'm going" Xavier says casually
"Huh?"
"Selena invited me over"
"Bro. Ur still messing around with her?" Jesse's face was full of disgust
"It's been a long time" he shrugs
