Well it all started when they went on It all started out with just five guys who all had the same dream. They all wanted to become something more than just people out on the streets singing to people and getting tip’s all day. They actually wanted to become something big. So are you wondering who these five amazing guys are? There name’s happen to be Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan and they are known as One Direction and this is the story on how they became a pop sensation practically overnight! Harry, Niall, Zayn, Louis and Liam all went on to a show called “The X-Factor“ they all went on as single singer’s who were hoping to make it big. But they didn’t make it as single singers. They all thought that their dreams of becoming singers were over but it wasn’t. Thanks to Simon Cowell. They were able to form the band we all know today as One Direction! So Simon took matter’s into his own hands and tried his best to help the boy’s. But before he could help them he had to know what kind of band they wanted to be. So he started getting to know them and he asked them what kind of band they wanted to be and they answered that they wanted to be a pop band. So Simon quickly signed them on with Syco records in London by doing that they were able to record there first hit “What Make’s You Beautiful” which made them really popular in America and is played on radio stations all over the U.S. Their song “What Makes You Beautiful” came out in September of 2011. Shortly after “What Makes You Beautiful” was released the boy’s wrote another song call “Gotta Be You”. “Gotta Be You” was one of the songs they recorded before they released there 2011 C.D. Up All Night which was released in November of 2011. “Gotta Be You” landed second in the U.K. Albums charted by selling over 138,000 copies in the first week! The first time they performed live was with Big Time Rush as an opening act for them. Soon after the tour with Big Time Rush they were able to go to the 2012 Brit Awards! They won a Brit for their song “What Makes You Beautiful”. On March 12, 2012 One Direction had the honor of being on the Today Show in New York they performed in front of 15,000 fan’s. After this they went on Icarly! They eventually went on Saturday Night Life to perform and onto the 2012 Kids Choice Awards which was another big honor for them. They gained so many fans after all of this. They became huge in the U.S. In December of 2011 One Direction went on tour which was called the Up All Night Tour. Since there was such a demeand for them and since they sold completely out in the U.K. for the tour they set dates in North America and in Australia. They ended up selling out in America and Australia to. They ended up making a video of a live concert which is called Up All Night: The Live Tour which was released in May of 2012. There live tour DVD became number one in the billboards. Every One Direction fan is really proud of how far the boy’s have come since 2010. One Direction fans are called Directioners and Directioners stick up for them no matter what.
