"A new school, new classmates, but same old friends and same old town. Yay." I thought to myself as I walked in front of my new school for a new school year. "What's up my homie!" A voice said behind me. I turned around and said, "Hey Chase. How was your summer? Oh and you're not black." "It was really good. And ,Well, I'm the exact opposite. That's right mexican." Chase said. "WTF Chase, that doesn't even make sense. You're white and been white since I met you five years ago." I replied. "Well someone has spent their summer vacation reminiscing." Chase said to me back. "And I guess you spent your summer improving your vocabulary skills. Reminiscing. Big word for little Chasey." I retorted.
We started to walk down the hallway and into the gym. Apparently we have to be there for an important announcement and we have to get our schedules and locker numbers and sign up for some stuff."Hey! I'm smart! And I did not spend my summer studying! I have a life!" He exclaimed. "Sure." I said sarcastically. "Whatever. And wait... Did you just call me Chasey? Sounds like one of those couple pet name things. Chasey? Really? What if I call you Coop instead of Cooper?" He asked. I blushed a little and said," You ask a lot of questions. And yes I did call you Chasey, it's now my new nickname for you! And no not like a couple though." Even though I want it to be, I thought to myself.
Me and Chase as a couple doing couple things together. I blush at the thought of that. Ok, yes I'm gay and I like Chase but he's straight. He's never gonna like me. I continued my sentence, "And no, you are not calling me Coop, just call me Cooper or CJ." "I'm calling you Coop if you are calling me Chasey!" He yelled making everyone in the hall stare at us. "Ok, fine! Jerk." I whispered shouted.
We walk into the gym where I see students everywhere signing up for clubs and elective. I try to walk further into the gym but panic soon engulfs me. I'm surround by a huge crowd of students and soon get claustrophobic. I start breathing at abnormally fast pace and I feel I'm about to faint. When I'm about to fall, Chase grabs me and whispers into my ear, "Don't worry. I got you Coop." He holds on to me and brings me to the freshman sign up desk with him. "Thanks." I muttered to him.
My knight in singing armor has saved me. Well, metaphorical knight nut whatever. And maybe he'll fall for me too. But before any more drama at least I have some bromance time with him before I tell him. We both go to get our school stuff as he still holds on to me, keeping me safe and relaxed.
