Julius Caesar was a Roman statesman and general. He was born in the year 100 BC. His full name was Gaius Julius Caesar. He played a serious role in the events that led to the end of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire.
ASSASSINATION: Led by Gaius Cassius Longinus and Marcus Junius Brutus, they stabbed Julius Caesar to death in a location next to to the Theatre of Pompey on the date of March 44 BC. 23 stab wounds were found on him.
