Chapter 9

Cat's POV:

~Earlier~

Once I am ready for bed,I get under the covers and start to drift off to sleep. During my sleep, I have a bad dream that I can barely make out. It was something about reapers. I am in a room with Uncle, Grell, and another man that looks a little like Sebastian. He has short black hair,and wears a normal looking suit. He has on black glasses. His eyes are a bright green, like Uncle's and Grell's. All three of them are sitting on a couch opposite where I am sitting. They are all staring at me, for an unknown reason. Their eyes are staring into my soul,and it's creeping me out.

~Now~

I jolt awake, unable to take it any longer. I suddenly remember what Ciel said if I need anything. I quietly open the door and go into the hallway. I walk to Ciel's room, and knock on the door.

"Come in." Ciel says sleepily from the other side of the door. I open it and he looks surprised to see me. "Cat, what are you doing here?" He asks me.

"W-well, I kind of had a bad dream,and I can't sleep. You said earlier that if I need anything to come into your room and-" Ciel cuts me off.

"Okay, come on." He says, walking to his bed.

"W-wait,what?" I ask.

"If you can't sleep,then you can sleep in my bed with me. I don't mean it that way,if that's what you're worried about." He says,relieving my worries.

"O-okay." I say and slowly walk over to his bed. He climbs onto one side,and I go on the other. He pulls the covers over us and I lay there, unable to sleep. I am laying on my side,facing the edge of the bed. I turn the other way and come face to face with Ciel. He is fast asleep,both of his eyes closed. 'If only his eyes were open, then I could see why he wears an eyepatch.' Suddenly,as if he read my mind, he opens his eyes. I now see what lies on his right eye. It is purple, with some sort of symbol on it. From the looks of it, I'd say that it is Sebastian's contract symbol. Ciel notices me staring and covers his right eye with his hand.

"I'm sorry. I should've told you about that." He says, referencing the mark on his eye.

"It's alright Ciel. Why are you awake?" I ask him.

"I could feel you staring at me. Why are you still awake?" He asks me.

"I can't sleep." I tell him. He lightly takes my waste and pulls me closer to him. I lay my head on his chest.

"There, maybe you can sleep better now."Ciel says,making me blush a bit. Surprisingly, he is right. For the rest of the night, I don't have anymore bad dreams.
