Ok so I do not own much of the content in this book. I own the characters (some of them) and the storyline but everything else isn't mine.
So this is based on the ds game dragon quest 9 (it's an awesome game) and I will try and explain for all those who don't know much about it. But yeah if you don't understand the dragon questiness just PM and I can explain to you. Anyway hope you enjoy. ;)
Prologue
Ash's POV
I wake up. The sun is shining through my drawn curtains and I leap up and rush to open them. The sun is glistening on the early morning dew and I smile to myself thinking what an amazing day it will be. I reach up to my top shelf and grope around for my DS. I feel it and wrap my fingers tightly around its familiar shape. I look in the back of it to make sure dragon quest ix is in it. It is so I flick the switch and begin to load the game. I wait impatiently as the companies that made it come up and it finally loads the title screen. I press begin adventure and begin to load the my save. It loads and suddenly it feels as though gravity is pulling me closer to the screen. I try futilely to pull myself away from the screen, but it ends up just feeling like I am getting pulled closer. I go to scream but the air has been sucked from my lungs and that's then I black out.
Corinne's POV
I wake up expecting to hear the rattling of pots and pans and other cooking equipment but my ears hear... Nothing. I glance over at my clock. The time reads 6:03 and I laugh quietly to myself. Of course, no one would be cooking this early in the morning. I contemplate between going back to sleep and getting up. Eventually getting up wins over and I reach over and grab my DS off my bedside table. I turn it on and begin to load dragon quest ix. It loads and I feel something change in the atmosphere but brush it off as me just imagining things. The game loads and my save file begins to load. It finally does and the world begins to sway before my eyes. My head starts to feel dizzy and my room around me begins to change colours. I go to scream when the world around me completely changes and I fall unconscious.
Hopes's POV
Urgh. I woke up so early this morning. I mean come on, couldn't I at least sleep in until 8:00 am but noooo I have to wake up at 6:43. I decide it would be pointless trying to go back to sleep so I might as well get up. I reach over and grab my DS and turn it on. I load dragon quest 9 and begin to load my save file. Pulling... something is pulling toward the screen. Something... mesmerising. I feel my body getting pulled forward by some imaginary allure before I know it I feel like I am sinking into the DS screen. Blackness... That's all I know now.
Lena's POV
I wake up to the birds chirping and singing. I mean yeah, the kookaburras are laughing like idiots in the background but at least I can still hear those beautiful birds. The light shines through my curtains and I throw them open before sitting back in bed and turning on my DS. I load dragon quest 9 and begin to load my save when I notice that the birds have stopped singing, even those stupid kookaburras have quietened down. I begin to frown when a big black wall of darkness is thrust at my face...
Haha yay! I finally got this chapter done. Soz I would have published earlier but I have been doing this on the app and it decided to delete this chapter before when I published it :( anyway it is re-written now so yeah... Plz vote and comment ur thoughts :)
