8.Under attack

I'm almost asleep when I hear a loud bang. I sit up while Thomas does the same thing. He looks out the window as he returns with a an uh-oh face on him. I immediately ask what was wrong, his answer gave me an uh-oh face as well. The castle is under attack by a group of mer-locks called The Black Tridents.*

*Mer-locks are half mermaids or mermen and half warlock or witch.

The Black Tridents are a group of mer-locks that attack the kingdoms looking for power. Once they kill the king and queen, they look for the princes and princesses. The princes and princesses are always hidden. It is very hard to find them, they take action and rebel against The Black Tridents. This group always runs off to another kingdom and continues the process until they finally take power.

Thomas and I get up, swim to the door and search for Kind Adam, Queen Teresa, Alexis, Violet, Kat and Susan.

"I'll get Alexis, Violet, Kat and Susan." I say. "I'll get the King and Queen." Thomas replies. "Be safe." Thomas says then kisses me of the forehead and swims off.

I remember which way their rooms is and I find it easily. I open the door and tell them to follow me. They all nod their heads. I keep searching for Susan's room as do the others. Finally, Alexis tells us that she is in the room that's she found. I tell Susan the same thing and she nods her head.

I found Alexis, Violet, Kat and Susan. Any luck with you?

I found them meet us at our room so we can to the cellar together.

Ok. We are in our way.

The 5 of us meet Thomas and the King and Queen. BANG!! "We have to hurry!" King Adam says, when all of a sudden he gets shot with a bullet, and falls to the ground. Dead. An arrow flies in and hit Queen Teresa's stomach. Thomas and I grab Queen Teresa. We swim down to the cellar. "Susan, how do you know Rose?" Violet asks. "We got back a long ways. We knew each other since we were born, but I didn't go to your school. I was taken by the storm, like you guys and the merpeople brought me down here. I was taken when I was 12. I've lived down here ever since." "I've wondered where you've been all these years."

I hear more bangs, screams, booms, gun shots, slicing and dicing. It scares me. I rest my head on Thomas chest while he comforts me.

Thomas's pov

A couple hours have gone by. All nosies stop. Then I hear it squish, squish, squish. From that second on I know, it's Captain Squishy. The name sounds quite adorable, but he himself is not so adorable. He has a tentacle beard, suction cup hands, a wooden peg leg while the other a blob of skin that goes squish every time he walks, a single eye, and a personality that is so mean that if you look at him, even a glimpse, you will be petrified, you'll have nightmares every night, and be scarred for life.

Rose hears the squishing as well, she cuddles up to me in fear. "W-what is t-that noise?" Rose whispers in my ear trembling. "That is Captain Squishy, leader of The Black Tridents." She gasps quietly.

"Thomas *cough cough* I'm sorry to say but you are not *cough* the next in line for the *cough cough cough cough* thrown. My actual daughter Maddilyn, is the next *cough* in line. She is on land, she attends *cough cough cough cough* London High School. Queen Teresa says quietly. "I love you like a real son Thomas." Then I see the light in her eyes slowly fade away.

"I'm so sorry Thomas." "It's ok Rose." I shed a tear while Rose does the same thing. I glimpse over to see everyone's heads down, lightly sobbing. I lean over and kiss Rose on the lips. She returns the gesture. We end the kiss after 3 seconds.

Squish, squish, squish.

Stay down here I'm going to rebel against them.

No, we both are in this together.

Ok, be careful my love.

As long as you do as well. I love you so much Thomas.

I love you so much as well Rose.

"You guys stay down here, we are going rebel." Rose says. "Ok." Alexis responds. "But if anything happens I'm going up there." "Ok."

We swim out of the cellar and into the thrown room. Squish, squish, squish. That's the sound of Captain Squishy.

There is Captain Squishy. I was almost frozen, I have to protect Rose I thought to my self. He sees Rose and I. He gasps. "It can't be!" Captain Squishy exclaims under his breath. We see more of his deep sea crew come out to gasp in horror.

In the corner of my eye, I see a spear on the knight. I grab it without them noticing. "Stay away this castle! Never come back again!" I shout. They all cower in fear then swim away quickly so we can't touch them. I look out the window to still see them swimming away.

Rose goes to get Alexis, Violet, Kat and Susan. She comes back with them immediately. "We need to make a plan." Susan says. "Alexis, Violet, Kat and Susan, you guys could go up to find Maddilyn. I can teleport you guys up there." Rose says confidently. "But how will you know when we are ready to come back down?" "I'm not sure."

Rose's pov

"Rose you go, I'll stay down here to watch over the castle." Thomas says. "Thomas, are you sure? I don't want you to be here all alone." "It's ok. Go find your friend. I love you Rose." "I love you too Thomas." I kiss him on the cheek and Alexis, Violet, Kat, Susan and I swim out of the castle and to the surface. I teleport us onto land next to the London High School.
