All around trees dark and full of color, tall and imposing

Where are all the bugs?

I hear nothing when I step
The silence is deafening! Something! Anything!
I can't scream!

Running, I must escape!
Running, but I seem to be staying in place
Nothing
A beep, a beep so quite it was almost nonexistent, then
Nothing
I freeze, my eyes frantically pealed.
ALONE
No noise
where, WHERE, WHERE ARE ALL THE BIRDS?!
Where are the annoying bugs!?
What happened to the nonstop noise I once knew?
Nothing
The trees...
I once could see the rustling?
What happened to the movement?
Why, Why am I alone?
No noise
Nothing
A place where to the animals, an people don't make a peep
Let alone live
The questions plauqe me!
The trees dark and drab now, tall and thin
Like a faded photo
-Nothing-No Noise-
Stopping to watch, I look for a way out
-Escape-Run-Nothing-MAKE NOISE!!!-
I must, must make noise if I stay much longer this silence might end me
-Run-
Feet pounding the ground , heart thumping
The force behind my legs reverberates up and down my spine
I can feel the weight in my chest, but the drum and hum I used to hear is gone
"Please"
-No people-No birds-Nothing-
Smoke? What?
The world around me is consumed by flame
-No noise-
The heat warms my back an face
THEN
-Nothing-
The fire is gone, but the destruction is obvious
Scorched wood, vegetation gone
The trees wrecked and fallen
'Beep-Beep-Beep-Beep' the sound was sudden like lightning strike, but louder then a train horn
Falling to my knees, clutching my head
What!-----WHAT!!!!- Nothing-
The noise fades out to silence
-No noise-
I push myself up from the ground to come face to face with a mirror
-No noise-
The scream eminated fell from my lips but was never heard
-Nothing-
Wrinkled, burned, horrifying, beyond recognition
I throw myself back away from the mirror
No-NO-NO-NO-NO!
Whats happening?........
My eyesfall onto the burned and blackened earth
Tears-Tears fall from chared eye sockets-
'Beep-Beep-Beep-Beep'
Oh so faint this time, but in the silence it's very noticable
-Run- Find the source -
-No noise-
The beeping stopped but I sprint in the dirction it came from
Branches try to hold me back, protruding from the ground to trip me
They hang low and swipe past my head
-Run-Run-Run-Keep Moving-
'Beep-Beep-Beep-Beep'
The forest around me fades to black and a single light sources stands in the dark
Only able to see the silhouettes fo the trees now, the beeping grows in frequency and volume
'Beep-Beep'
What is it?
Why is it the only sound?!
The questions, so many questions
Rampagig like an animal in pain
I push my legs to go faster

'Beep.......Beep.....'

I panic as the beeping slows, the light getting brighter and closer
"DON'T YOU DARE STOP! DON'T YOU DARE!!!"
My hand shoots out pulling myself past trees
'Beeeeep......Beeeeeeee.......'
Nothing but pure fear pushing me forward now ,I will make it before the last beep
I WILL
-Nothing-
Nothing will stop me
I'm steps away from the white hot light now
Wait??Hot?
Unable to stop I skid into the light as the beeping falls quite behind me
Oh my--NO THIS CANT BE RIGHT
Impossible No-NO
There on a crisp white hospital bed is a person.
I wouldn't have recognized them if it wasn't for the clip at the end of the bed
'Patient 4039'
Reading all the daming info for all my dread
Age, Date of birth, Blood type, Gender, and........My name
There on the bed, it, it can't be but it must!
The same terrifying monster from the mirror is in the bed........only it's eyes are closed
The clipboard reads
"' Patient rushed to Hospital after terrible car crash, broken ribs....., lacerations.....,third degree burns covering majority of body.'"
This monster, is me?
"Beep-Beep-Beep'
My eyes snap up
The heart monitor?
-That's the noise I heard?-
Looking at my hands, not the monsters, what have I become?!
A chilling calm washes over me
What does it matter?
Who cares?!!
-haha-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!-
Searing pain an sadness
-That's it-
Nothing more
That's all I am now
Now, for the people that say they can see things, supernatural things. If they where to walk past this room, would they see a bed ridden in a coma? Maybe, a small, very small maybe they'd see the figure next to the bed hunched
over in pain and crying. Sobbing so hard their body shook, mouth open to scream for help but the sound never to land on listening ears. For now dear reader, let the passersby's pass. Let them pass blissfully oblivious, and hope such a misfortune doesn't befall them. hm? Yes let's do that.
