Beep! Beep! Beep!

I slammed my hand down on my now probably broken alarm clock. I took a quick glimpse and in bright red, it flashed:7:30am.

Shit,I'm going to be late, I thought.

I jumped out of bed and ran into the bathroom for a quick shower. Once I was sure I was clean, I dried myself up grabbed my favourite black skinny jeans and a Pierce The Veil T-shirt that I had gotten at warped tour a few years back. I put on my old converse shoes.

At the top of my draw where I had kept my accessories, sat a small box where my piercings were. I had a lot of piercings, well not a lot but quite numerous. I took a silver stud lip ring and put it on my bottom lip along with a pair of red X-mark ear rings.

Brushing my teeth and combing my damp hair, letting my bangs fall over my left eye to hide from what the mirror was showing me.

I picked my books off from night stand and gently placed them one by one into my backpack. I ran down the stairs hoping to catch mom before she left for work but by the time I got there she was already gone. But this time there was something different. A note was tapped to the fridge and it wrote:

"Dear, Shaylese, I had to leave early for work today and I might be working late again tonight so dont wait up, here some money for pizza or chinese food whatever you want, and you can only have one friend over, okay?, love you sweetie, have a great day at school.

-Mom-

I sighed.

"Typical" I mumbled I took the money, my backpack and went out the door.

I was digging inside my bag for my iPod and wasn't really looking where I was going until I bumped in to something or rather someone

"I'm so-" I was about to apologize out of reflex when I looked up to and was surprised to see an unfamiliar figure. He was tall and had jet black silky hair, the kind where you just wanna run your fingers through, that was combed to perfection. He had broad shoulders which his white shirt seemed to amplify. In his arms were some exotic tattoos that ran from shoulders down to his wrist. He had dark brown ones, a shade very close to black, that held authority and a promised danger.

Everything around him screamed Run!
, Yet there was something about the way his eyes held every emotion he had that told me there was something more than just angst in him.

"Can you watch where you going!?" he snapped his voice cold and sharp leaving goosebumps on every inch of my body.

"Umm-uh sorry..." I stuttered putting my head down and bitting bottom on my lip ring -a very bad habbit of mine.

"Yeah, whatever" he mumbles, annoyed.

And with that he turned on his heels and started walking towards the school.

*****

I had made it just in time for my first period English class. I had walked behind the guy I had bumped into, careful to keep a safe distance between us so that he wouldn't think that I followed him. But by the time we had arrived in school, I lost him in the sea of people streaming in and out of the halls.

Eventually, I gave up and headed towards my locker. With my jacket away, books in hand, I ran towards English just as the bell finished ringing.

I made my way to my seat which was at the back of the classroom. Once everyone has settled down, Mr. Ennis called out attention and began to talk about the essays we wrote last week and how we all seemed to lack proof to support our opinion but my mind began to drift back to that mysterious guy I bumped into.

I wonder what his name is, I thought but immediately stop myself.

Whoa there girl, you don't want trouble in your life. And that boy practically screamed trouble, my subconscious told me.

I shook my head clear and tuned back in to what Mr. Ennis was saying, "Okay class today we will be starting our first novel study of the year, it's about love, vengeance, and dea-"

Mr. Ennis was cut off by a brief knock at the door. The door opened and came in was a tall skiny blond, wearing a black skirt that was- Im not going to lie but a bit too short. She also wore a light blue blouse and black blazer.

"Excuse me,Mr. Ennis?"

"Why hello Mrs. Fitz, come on in and introduce yourself. This my first period Junior AP English class."

Mrs. Fitz was the schools new vice-principal. Apperently the last one got kicked out for having a romantic realationships with a student .

I know right? Gross.

"Well, I'm here becasue I have a new student that has been placed in your class" the vice-principle end.

Great more abnoxious people I have to deal with.

"This is Ethan Woods" Mrs. Fitz said.

I didn't bother to look and began to doodle on the notebook I had in front of me.

"You can sit by Shaylese, over there" I heard Mr.Ennis say and started to look up with a fix smile on my face.

There, in front of the classroom, stood Mr. Trouble, looking at me intently with recognition. My smile immediately fell.

He strode over to me, not averting his eyes and neither could I. As he passes by chairs, girls would follow him with their eyes, ogling him shamelessly.

He graciously sat on the seat beside me, still looking at me. I could feel every female in the classroom send me a death glare. I didn't care. I was too busy processing the fact that the guy I had only thought about moments ago was sitting beside me.

He saw the effect he had in me and smirked, "Calm down sweet cheeks, you'll have plenty of time to check me out through the year", he said as he leaned back on to his chair.

That arrogant remark broke me from my trance and I scoffed but then mumbled a incoherent response that was something along the lines of "uhh, uff, guhh".

I immediately turned forward and closed my eyes in embarrassment.
Way to go Shaylese.

He chuckled, "Yup. You got it bad".

I raised an eyebrow at him but he just winked at me. Okay now that gave my heart an electric jolt. If he was gonna do that every time he catches me staring or even glancing at me, I swear, I'm gonna die soon.

With one last glance at the boy beside to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, I settled down and tried to focus on the lesson which seemed impossible with him just sitting inches away from me or that every second, a girl would turn back around and wink suggestively at him.

I sighed loudly, so much for a quiet life.

Great. just great.
