What If My Nike Hoodie Could Talk?
Hi, my name is Nike Hoodie I was made in a factory over in trailand, I'm the youngest of 5 hoodies (3 t-shirts and 2 hoodies.) My mother and father were two hard working black hoodies. My dad was owned by a very famous athlete and met a lot of stars along the way, he rode in the backseat of some of the most expensive cars ever, he stayed in some of their homes and hotels room as well. My mom was owned by his wife so they sort of had the same life. When they we're finally to old they retired, to a Good Will shelf where someone needed them. They lived a good life!
My three t-shirts (sisters) went to three girl cheerleaders on the Bulls or Oklahoma cheer leading team I don't which team it was. I can't remember but I do know, that they get to see thousand's of people scream & they also get to watch free games live!
My hoodie (brother) went to a kid for Christmas, he got a chance to be wrapped in a nice box and gave to a young Omega lad who really didn't let him go out much.... only when it was cold, other than that he stayed packed away in the closet.
I was lucky, I went to a very tall boy who was so excited about me when he picked me up off the rack. He said "man I'm gone rock this black hoodie everyday." When the cashier rung my tag up he told his dad you don't need a bag.... & put me on right away. We went everywhere together; the movies, out to eat, the game room, Burger King, McDonald's and sometimes we went bike riding, and played basketball together. He would sit in the chair in his room and he would talk about being rich & famous and buying his parents mansions. I would tell him about how famous my mom and dad were and he'd be so excited.
Me and Tray were close man, until that night when everything almost came crashing down. I knew something bad was going to happen so I told Tray to stay in, He said "Okay." So we sat in the house playing video games and talking, cracking jokes just having fun. Then Tray said "man I'm about to go to the store to get some skittles and a tea, you want to come?" I said "yeah, why not?"
So, he put me on and we walked up to the store on the way back we were laughing and talking with Tray's friend on the phone. When we got by the house Tray said "man you see that white dude following me" I said "yeah, bro just keep walking." So he kept walking, then I realized he didn't stop so I told him to run. He said "Naw, he might think I did something." I said "man he might be a serial killer or something" so Tray took off running! The guy jumped out of his car and started running after us. Tray said "Mann this dude crazy, why this dude chasing me...it's pouring down raining. So we ran in a circle...thought we lost him.
Then out the blue, the guy said "What you doing around here boy!" Tray said "Why you following me man" Then he pushed Tray, he slipped and fell then the guy jumped on top of him and they started rolling in grass Tray swung his elbow and hit the guy in the nose so I said "run Tray" so Tray got up and started running but slipped then the guy got back on top of him and pulled out a gun.... pressed it against both of our chest. When me and Tray felt the gun we yelled as loud as we could "HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!!
The guy said "who else is out here?" Tray said "No one but my best friend Nike."
"Nike. Who the hell is that" said the guy. Tray said "My hoodie Nike, he can talk" the guy said this isn't a movie hoodies don't talk. That's when I said "apparently... this one does & your busted! Because my friend was black and wearing a hoodie you tried to kill him but thanks to talking hoodies your profiling days are over.
The guy was so scared and in shock that he just took off running.... so fast he slipped and hit his head on the concrete. "Whoa that was a nasty fall" said Tray "ugly yeah" I said. When we got to the house Tray told his dad everything that happen, so they went to the police station and gave a description of the guy. Tray said "it was a white or Hispanic guy with a shaved head or low hair cut with a jacket on. Three days later they picked up the guy and charged him with attempted murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm he was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years! All thanks to me, BLACK NIKE HOODIE.
*Maybe if all hoodies had some way to record and have playback the tragedy that happen Feb. 26 2012 would've never happened.*
