Hey Wattpadders! This is my very first story, and I want my writing to be the best that it can be, so I would really appreciate any constructive criticism and/or feedback that anyone can offer me.

This chapter takes place during the episode 'Apprentice Part 1.' in Season 1 when Slade threatened to freeze time with a Chronoton Detonator. I hope you guys enjoy what I have to offer, and thank you so much for reading!

Robin's POV

Our footsteps echoed along the concrete path towards the warehouse by the docks, never falling out of sync as all five of us anxiously hurried to find the Chronoton Detonator that Slade threatened my city with, an action that will not go unpunished. That son of a bitch has threatened my friends and my city a few times too many. He has gotten away successfully every time, but I won't let it happen again. I won't

My thoughts are interrupted as we skid to a halt at the entrance of the underwhelmingly bland building in Pier 41. Shooting the door open, Cyborg allowed the five of us entry to the storage unit.

"Empty?" Starfire questioned. The building was clear, other than the pieces of sheet metal that littered the floor.

"Oh man!"

"I don't believe this." I voiced, my exasperation evident. Just as I had finished my statement, a large group of Slade's henchmen surrounded us.

We don't have time for this.

"Great, now what do we do?"  Whipping his head around, Beast Boy noticed that our only exit was now blocked off by a growing number of lackeys.

"We fight." I answered simply, pulling my staff out, allowing it to extend, "Titans! GO!" I yelled, throwing a kick towards the henchman closest to me. Jumping between henchmen and knocking them out in one hit, I moved on to help my team. We were running out of time. Slade's plan could already be in full effect and we're dawdling around here. Clearing the room in mere minutes, practically alone I might add, I ignored the looks of worry and shock from my teammates as I let out all of my pent up anger on the remaining robot. Hitting him repeatedly, I received no relief from flattening the face of the machine.

"Uhh.. Robin? I think you got him." Cyborg stated, a hint of humor in his voice, which only made me angrier.

"Yes please. You may stop now. We are victorious." My arm was stopped in mid swing as it was being gripped by firm yet gentle hands. I stood slowly, retracting my staff.

"Slade's got his finger on the button, and we've got nothing." I breathed out, growing more frustrated at the fact that they couldn't see the situation for what it really was, "Does that sound like a victory to you?"

Storming out, my blood boiled at the thought of Slade pulling one over on me.

Again.

Several minutes passed as my team attempted to piece together where the Chronoton Detonator could possibly be.

"Okay, we know the Chronoton Detonator was here. Now we just have to figure out where it went." Cyborg deduced, standing in the doorway where the door used to be.

"No problem! We should split up and----" Beast Boy was interrupted as Raven began to interject with her own opinion.

"Waste hours searching only to come up empty handed?"
