I come from a small family, I have no sister's but one brother, Kyle, He's a lot younger, he's four, and I'm 15. My parents are happily married & we all live in a nice house in Roseland, California, it's a really small town, maybe about 1,000 people or so. But today, is the day, I get sent away, to a group home, because I don't listen, and I don't respect them. Atleast, that's what my parents call it.
"Kory, you do realize why this is happening..?" My mother glances at me, swerving a little on the road.
"Yeah, whatever.." I mumble quietly, staring out the window of the passenger's seat.
On a road to hell, you could say. My mother's driving is terrible. We're heading to a town called, "Marshall." About 50,000 people. I've never been here, we've been driving for about three hours. I play with my long, dark, brown hair, as I glance back at Kyle in the backseat, playing with his coloring book and two crayons; Brown and grey, such boring colors. Luckily, my father agreed to stay home during the dropping off of my new home, I didn't want him with anyways.
"When are we going to be there...?" I scoff at my mother, "We're here, settle down." She says coldly toward my direction. "Finally." I whisper, I stare out the window at a big, normal looking house, "Is this it?" I ask, with a confusing expression on my face. My mother nods, "Get out." She replies.
I slowly open my door, and I grab my duffle bag from the trunk, as my mother and Kyle get out of the vechile, following behind me as I go up to the door... *Knock-Knock.* I take a deep breath, and I literally feel my heart racing inside my chest.
