Not so Typical Beginning

As I was scrolling through YouTube, something I barely do anymore, I find this video with a cute thumbnail and the title being
'wild life by jack and jack (cover of Johnson's part, I'm better, not really)'
I clicked to show Johnson,
" hey Johnson" I say as we are watching the video,
"She raps better than you," I chuckle.
"Gilinsky what are talking about? She is ok but not better than me" he smiles.
"Ok then Johnson, challenge her to a rap battle"
I say with a smirk.
"Challenge accepted" he says.

2 hours later...

"I emailed her like 2 hours ago, why hasn't she replied?"
" gilinsky, give her time she most likely has a life." He laughed
I am getting impatient, I want to prove Johnson wrong. Finally, she answers an hour later,
"Gilinsky, read it out loud" he says. "Hi I would love to have a rap battle with Johnson, meet you both at the concert."
Silence fills the room, he has been my best friend since kindergarten and I dont know what to say now, I don't know why.
" Whats her name?" Johnson asks ,
"Belle, she is a youtuber, here let me show you a picture of her."
Johnson looks at with no emotion, it kind of bugs me, but i don't say anything
" Johnson you drooled on my screen" I joked.
"Haha sorry I zoned out, she is ok but she doesn't look like my type, she looks a little slutty."
I sit there surprised, I thought he would like her.
"Never judge a book by its cover." I say.
Johnson looks at me like I'm stupid and says,
" well this is a book I never want to open, I don't know why I'm not interested, she is pretty, I don't know, I don't want to fall in love at this time anyway, luckily I haven't."
Wow, I really thought he was going to give her a chance. I guess it wasn't meant to be. Im still shocked, not so typical of Johnson saying that.
