Ch.14

LJs pov

Today is Thursday and Ethan and I haven't talked much. Yeah I know it's been two days but it's weird. We would always be so close but yesterday I think he tried. He put his arm around my waist and looked me in the eyes but dumb ass Josh walked in.

I walk out of 3rd block and head to fourth. I sit down and I feel dizzy. A dude looks at me and says "hey you know your nose is bleeding."

I touch my nose and I look at my hand and see the blood. Then the guy gets blurry. I fall and black out.

Ethan's pov

I was sitting in forth block with Josh and the teacher tells Josh and I we need to get our stuff and head to the office immediately.

We head to the office and see Sam heading that way too.

"Do you know what's going on?" She asks

"No but I bet we will find out." Josh says

"Where is LJ?" I ask

We get to the office and the lady at the front desk says "you need to head to the hospital your friend Lexi Jackson was taken there."

We all run out and take Josh's car and head there. Sam calls ms. J to ask her if she is heading that way.

What is going on with LJ? The other night she said something about treatment and stuff. I'm so confused.

"We're here come on let's go." Josh says and I rush out.

We all run in the hospital and we ask for Lexi Jackson they tell us she is in critical condition. We head to that floor. We get there and we see ms. J. She was crying.

"Mom is lj ok?" Josh runs to his mom and hugs her.

"We can't see her yet but I think it's because of ...." She stops and looks at me then back at Josh, "you know what I'm talking about."

We sit in the waiting area for about an hour and then a doctor comes out and asks for the family. Which Sam and I couldn't go because we aren't blood.

Sam and I wait for about 30 minutes until Josh comes back. "Hey guys my mom says we should head home. LJ is asleep." Josh says

I get up and he has a weird look in his eyes. We head home and I go straight to LJs room. I sit on her bed and just imagine her waking through the door and giving me a hug but it didn't happen.

LJs pov

I wake up and my mom is sitting right next to me. "Mom?"

"Hey baby how are you feeling?" She asks

"I'm ok but what is today?" I ask

"Today is Friday. " she says

"What happened? All I remember is that I go to fourth block and some guy tells me my nose was bleeding and I faint." I say

"Well your dos it is going to tell us and there she is." My mom says as my doctor comes in

"Hey LJ I didn't think I would see you like this again. Well the reason you fainted and toe nosed bled was your cancer. It has gotten worse. Not as bad as when you were younger but it is bad. We will start you in radiation.." I interrupt.

"Wait I haven't gotten to talk about it but I wanted to know if I could do kickboxing?" I ask

"Well I don't know honey." My mom says

"Actually I think it would be great for you. It will get this off your mind and it could help with the faints and nose bleeds." My doctors says and I get excited

"Are you sure?" My mom asks

"Yes I've seen kids do stuff like this and it does help." Doctor says

"Ok well alright I guess you can." My mom says

"Great so when can I go home?" I ask

"today. Next Monday we will start radiation. And we will do it every two days or what is good with you." She says, "ok I will get the discharge papers." She says and my mom wakes out with her.

About an hour later we finally get home. I walk in and I see Sam. She runs up and hugs me.

"Are you ok? I'll stay with you." She keeps talking

"Calm down Sam it's ok I'll tell you about everything later." I say

"Hey little sis." Josh says and hugs me tight

"Hey bro. Don't kill me.." I say then whisper "before the cancer does."

"Don't day that." Josh say and gets mad

"I'm sorry." I say and then I see Ethan comes downstairs

"Hey ethan." I say

He walks over to me and hugs me and holds me like he means it.

"Hey it's ok I'm fine now." I say and he lift his head and his eyes looked sad

Later that night I h ad to bed but when i get in there I see Ethan sleeping on my bed. I lay down and curl up next to him.

On Monday

I get to school and in fourth block the guy that told me about my nose walks in and asks me if I'm ok.

"Yeah I'm fine." I say

"Hey you and I are in the same rut. I have cancer too." He says

"Wait how did you know?" I ask

"I've got the same symptoms." He says "what are you doing after school?"

"Oh I have radiation." Say quietly

"Me too. Who's your doctor?" He says

"Dr. William." I say

"Me too."  He gets happy

The rest of class all we do is talk and have fun. At the end of the day I ca my mom and tell her that my new friend Jillian has radiation as well so he is going to take me.

I walk out with him and then I see Ethan. He walks out right after us.

"Hey LJ where are you going?" He asks

"Oh um I'll b home later I have a thing." I say and Jillian looks at me weird

"I'll go with you." Ethan says

"No you can't. " I say

"Why?" Ethan asks

"Dude she has to go to the hospital for a thing." Jillian says

"Why are you going back. Is it because of your treatment gthing?" Ethan asks and I just stand there thinking of somehow to lie
