In the past there were six races: Elves, Half-Giants, Styrics, Goblins, Humans and the Undead. Each of which were spread through-out the world. There are other minor races such as mystic elves in this story but they are not that important.
The elves were widely known for their skill at bows thus they lived in the forest, hunting boars and other wild animals for food and clothes. Their armour is made out of leather and boar hide, making it light and easy to sneak and move around in. Elves are the second smallest out of all races, they have a slim build and do not believe in the use of magic as it is against the gods to do so, any elf that uses magic is subjected to be an outcast and if seen in the camp will be treated as a traitor and killed.
The next race is Half-Giants, they are a brutal race, and their massive build makes them one of the most feared. The Half-Giants mine copper, gold and other ores to make their weapons and armour, the armour is heavy and tough, making it hard for swords and arrows to penetrate through, giving them an advantage on the battlefield. The Half-Giants have no use for money, so any gem or crystal they come across, they hand over to their priest to imbue the gem into their armour, giving it a bonus to defence and a nice shiny look.
The styrics are a human-like race, well known for their use in magic they can cast spells in order to hide themselves from enemies or controlling others minds. The styrics are a peaceful race; they wear silk robes and pray to all four of the styric gods. Most styrics use their powers for healing and summoning creatures for protection. The styrics don’t use weapons as they don’t like fighting; instead they cast mists around themselves and shine bright lights to blind the enemies in order to escape. They don’t tend to use mind control unless they have no other choice, it has been known that some styrics have gone rogue, and use their powers to cause chaos and destruction across the lands.
The goblins (as some of you know) are small green creatures, brainless and feisty. They rummage their way through the dead piles of body’s after the battle has finished and pick up weapons and armour, then they melt it down and turn it into armour that would fit them. Nobody likes them cause of their nature and horrible smell. Goblins are the type of race don’t wash themselves or clean up after they have eaten, so it is easy to tell when you are in a goblin stronghold, there would be left over animals and sometimes people, blood and filth scattered across their place.
The humans are similar to elves except they do not have pointy ears. I shouldn’t need to explain too much about humans as you should know a lot about us. We are a murderous race, we are the only race who kills their own kind, abuse each other, sells our sons and daughters to slave-traders, and even rape each other. For this we are known as one of the most disgusting race of the six. Although we are not perfect at archery or even sword fighting we have the ability to use every weapon that is available or given to us. As much as we want the ability to use magic we cannot seem to cast anything, we only use ten percent of our brain power, and in order to use magic we need to use the full one-hundred percent. Some of us try our best but cannot succeed.
Last not least is the undead race. It is a hidden race no one truly knows anything about them. They live underground and only come out at night in search for prey. There are many kinds of creatures that make up the undead, such as necrons, abominations, ghouls, skeletons and zombies. The styrics believe that the necrons are former styrics that have mingled with the dark and forbidden arts of magic, others believe that the necrons are the followers of the God Azash – who despises everything but the gods themselves. Necrons are tall, skinny and pitch black skin, they have the ability to sense out the life force that is inside everyone, so even if the styrics use their powers to hide themselves they can still be spotted by the necrons. Abominations are big, fat creatures with their guts hanging out. Abominations let out a nasty odour that can kill a normal person within a couple of minutes. Ghouls are small creatures, (if any of you have seen Lord of the Rings; the ghoul is similar to Sméagol/Gollum but with rotten flesh falling off) they are easily killed but if they get their teeth into you it is almost impossible to get them off. Skeletons are humans but stripped down to the bone, skeletons generally stick to being archers. Skeletons are easily killed but not as fast moving as a ghoul and they don’t do as much damage as a ghoul. The last undead creature is the zombie (hopefully you know what a zombie looks like.) The zombie is the easiest creature to kill as they are slow, and unlike normal zombie stories, if a zombie bites you it’s not deadly, it will only make you sick.
Now I’m sure you guys have had enough of reading about the races and are eager to get into the story so I shall start writing/posting.
