It was a warm fall Halloween night as I recall, me and my friends, Jack Jane and me were out trick or treating. i was a zombie, Jack was a dog and Jane was a cat. We when through the hole block, but back then we were nine and ten years old so we weren't allowed to go outside of the neighborhood. I sighed because we went to all of the houses and we only got a few bags of chips, three chocolate bars and some gum. I went to turn back to go to the direction of my house when Jane grabbed my wrist. I turned around and i was about to yell at her when she said "come on! Let's go to that house over there behind the hill!"
i looked at her and said" you know my mom she would kill us if we went-" then i got cut off by jack" oh come one stop being suck a scardy cat matt". I looked at him and said" oh come on guys your parents would kill you t-" then I got cut off by them both taunting me" scardy cant, scardy cat, Matthew is a scardy cat~" with anger I grabbed them both by their costumes and said" FINE! Let's go." " YAAY" they both screamed as they dragged me to the house, as we got closer to the house i could see other houses and more kids with a bunch of candy "guys look we hit the jackpot for candy, WERE RICH WITH CANDY" i said jumping up and down in joy" hey wait" said Jane" look some kids are missing the house that we can see from are side of the neighborhood"
I look to see and it was true, none of the kids were even going ten feet near that house" LETS GO SEE THE HOUSE MATT AND JANE!" jack said with joy in his words" ITS LIKE ONE OF THOSE PARANORMAL ACTIVITY THINGS WE COULD BE GHOST HUNTERS" I was about to say something when jack started to drag us to the house, and tried to get out of his grip but, since he was the oldest he had more strength so I gave up and let him drag us to the house.
When we got to the house we just stood there. The house was an ugly color of brown and the roof had a hole in it, the windows were dirty and no one could see throw it. As we scan the house from top to bottom we noticed something ...odd, it was the door. As everything else was all broken and all run down the door look brand new, it was a pick white door with a wooden handle. To break the silence I said "SO!" I clapped my hands together and rubbed them back and forth making a weird sound that would make jacks teeth grind together. "Who's going to go and ring the door bell first!" they both looked at each other then me. In my gut I had a feeling it would be me " YOUR GOING FIRST" they said pointing at me "w-w-why me?!?" I said sort of scared.
"why you SCARED scardy cat boy" Jack said mocking me again" because I'm the youngest" I said telling I didn't want to do it" but you are the smartest and you've lived here your whole life we just moved here about a year ago" said Jane" yeah a girl can't go so you got to go" said jack arguing with Jane" fine ill go" I sad with a shake going throw my whole body" ill only ring the door bell, BUT THATS IT OK GUYS" they shook their heads and sate on the ground staring at me to go up to the house. I went up to the house trying to hide the fact that I was scared, the steps to go to the door were all creaky and they looked like they would about to break if a feather touched it. When I got to the door I felt I could breeze go near my hand and the breeze pushed my hand up a little from my side, the funny thing is it wasn't cold outside. And the breeze was freezing cold. I brushed it aside and went to ring the door bell, but when I was an inch away from ringing it, the pitch white door opened slowly.
It had a creek but when the door opened nothing was there. There was a note on the ground. I picked up the note and read it, it said" hello, would you like to play a game, it's simple just come into the house and try to find all the items on the list and you must stay quiet " the rest of the note was ripped off. I looked on the back for the rest of the word but all there was a list of things. "this must be the things I got to find" said jack reading over my shoulder.
I jumped in the air because I did dint know he was there I turned to him and said: WHAT ARE YOU DOIN HERE!? I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WERE GOING TO SIT THERE ON THE GRASS!". Jane looked at me and said "when we saw the door open we came over here to see what was going on, then we read the note over your shoulder, and we want to do this scavenger hunt to Matt". "Yeah Matt let's do it" said Jack. "Fine let's go". I said knowing if I said no Jack would drag me into the house. When we came into the house the door slammed behind us. We turned around then when we turned back we noticed something odd, Jane wasn't here she was gone but where she used to stand there was a note.
