I walked out the house, determined to get away from all the shouting. Mum and dad have been at each others throats all day and I think if I listen to anymore screaming my head might explode.

The cold breeze nipped at my face so I buried it deep into my scarf as well as stuffing my hands in my coat pockets. I know 10'oclock was late to be going for a walk but I needed a break from my parents constant bickering.

I felt bad leaving my younger brother Jeremy but he's only two years younger than me (15) so he can look after himself.

I started walking towards the park, so I could swing on the swings for a bit in the silence. I was a bit cautious that I had to walk through a dark under path by myself at this time but I carried on anyway.

I was about to turn the corner into the tunnel when I stopped myself hearing whimpers from within it.

I peaked around the corner to figure out what was going on. As my eyes were adjusting to the dark I saw a lady, pinned up against the wall by a tall man with brown curly hair. She must be the one whimpering. Behind the man, there were 4 others. One guy with blonde hair, another with dark brown/black hair and the other two with brown hair.

"Don't worry love, we'll make this quick." the curly one said and I could sense a mischievous smirk on his face.

I quickly turned my body so I was behind the wall. My breathing increased. He'll make what quick!? What are they going to do to her!? Rape her? Kill her?

All these thoughts were rushing through my mind. I have to do something.

I walked round the corner, ready to stop whatever was going on when my feet suddenly felt stuck to the ground. My legs wouldn't move. I felt like I couldn't speak.

Before me, the curly haired guy dived into the woman's necked. His teeth transformed, turning long and pointed like...like fangs. Blood started to drip down the woman's neck as she desperately tried to escape. I tried to do something, anything, but I couldn't. All I could do was watch as the poor lady infront of me got her life taken away from her right before my very eyes.

Once the men were finished and about to, what looked like, leave, I heard one of the men tell the others to stop.

"I can hear a heartbeat." the blonde guy said, his irish accent prominently showing through his words. My heart was pounding out of my chest and I tried to run but still nothing. I stood there hopelessly. Who were these guys?

The blonde man turned round so he was staring directly at me. His eyes. His eyes were red.

Soon the others noticed me as well. The curly haired man stepped forwards, towards me. He must be the leader of their gang or whatever the hell it was.

"Hello." he said simply, a sly smile painted on his face.

Finally my feet lifted. I ran as fast as I could. I wasn't the fastest of runners on the best of days but I had to keep going. I was running for my life. I didn't even look behind me to see if they were following, I just kept my eyes straight ahead.

Suddenly, I tripped over a branch, smacking my head hard as i hit the ground. It started pounding as I fell into complete and utter darkness.
