So, now she was here. The Avengers Tower. Evangeline had agreed to becoming an Avenger much to the dislike of The Avengers, minus Clint, Vision, Natasha, and Wanda.

Her one condition for joining them is that she can leave at night to patrol the city. She, of course, had to have an escort with her and she couldn't kill anybody. Natasha had offered to be her escort since she had nothing better to do.

So, it being night she went out to patrol. The past week, nothing had happened. No calls for help or cries of pain. Absolutely nothing.

She was walking down the street with Natasha by her side. They had become close friends in the past week. They had talked a lot. It more being Natasha talking about her past and Evangeline listening, surprisingly.

Natashe felt relaxed around her. The only other person who she was ever relaxed completely around was Clint and it took close to a year to even get remotely close to that.

Natasha was telling her about Clint's kids and the traitor baby, when Evangeline suddenly stopped in her tracks.

"What?" Natasha asked but Evangeline just held up a hand. She snapped her fingers and her normal dress and heels turned into a sort of hunting outfit. Evangeline took off running. She jumped up a wall and scaled it like nothing.

Natasha, finally processing what was happening, took off after her, ready to call for backup. When Natasha got on the roof, she saw Evangeline already four rooftops over. When she got three more rooftops down, she stopped.

Natasha reached her and demanded, "What the hell was that?!"

Again Evangeline just raised her hand and snapped her fingers. A noise sounded behind Natasha and she turned around, whipping out her gun.

There stood ten Knights with red hearts on their chests. They bowed to Evangeline and awaited the order.

"We have a problem," Evangeline announced, "White, middle-aged, married father of four is planning on selling his wife and children to a slave - trafficking unit. He is in there with four other adult males. I need six of you to secure the exits and the other four to follow me. No killing, just knocking out. Am I clear."

"Yes, ma'am!" They rang out together. Six disappeared while the others stayed. Evangeline waved them forward telling then to go. She was about to follow when Natasha stopped her.

"How do you know this?"

"I can read minds," she stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"You made no mention of that in the interrogation."

"I didn't? Hmm. Well now you know." She turned around and said, "Coming?" She then jumped down to the ground almost twenty feet down.

Natasha sighed and followed.

Within minutes the Knights and Evangeline had detained all of the men. Natasha was calling for a couple agents to come pick them up while Evangeline was talking with the mother.

Natasha looked over to see the family of five disappearing into a portal. The knights followed and Evangeline closed the portal.

She then turned and walked out of the house like nothing happened. Natasha rushed out to see where she went, but she was nowhere in sight. She had left.

Natasha sighed and entered the house again, waiting for the agents to come.
