Chapter 8 *Edited*

(James' P.O.V.)

After me and Lizzie broke from our hug we talked until we passed out on Kelly"s bed. It was a nice night , after all the drama died down of course. We talked about what she liked to do in her free time, about our likes and dislikes, about what we both witnessed downstairs. We both agreed to torture the two about it later.

Not long after that Lizzie fell asleep. I sat there and watched her as her short hair fell over her closed eyes. Her lips were parted slightly letting out little snores. I couldn't help but think about how nice it would be to kiss those soft lips. But I quickly stop myself everytime. There is no way I can like her. Don't ask me why. I just can't.

Yet here I am this morning with her wrapped in my arms. I know what you're thinking. James if you can't be with her why is she cuddled up next to you? And why aren't you doing anything about it?

Look like I said before it's hard to explain. Anyways.

Just as I was looking down at her my phone went off from the bedside table. I rolled over with a groan knowing it was my mom.

I picked up my phone and masked my annoyance as best as I could. Which wasn't well.

"Yes mother?"

"Don't use that tone with me. Look I need you to come home and take care of your baby sister."

"Why? Where are you guys going?" I asked confused. They were usually off on Sundays. Where the hell were they off to?

"Me and your father have a business trip to go on. We should be gone for about a week, two weeks max." She responded breathlessly. She sounded like she was moving a lot. Probably last minute packing.

"Okay fine. I'll be there in ten minutes." Without a goodbye I hung up the phone. I rolled out of the bed and took one last look at Lizzie. She looked so beautiful. I sighed and made my way to where everyone else was.

They were all still sprawled out on the floor looking miserable as ever. I stepped over everyone very carefully making my way to Ricky.

"Ricky. Wake up" I whispered. When he didn't move I kicked him but not hard enough to bruise. He jolted up and looked up at me.

"What the hell dude?!" He quietly shouted.

"Come on I gotta go. I gotta babysit."

He sighed before carefully getting up. He looked around trying to make sure he didn't leave anything. Once he got everything we made our way to his car and got in.

"Why do you have to babysit anyways? Aren't they off today?"

"Yeah but they are going on a "business trip" for two weeks. So I have to play the big brother role."

"It's not that bad though. That little girl is a bundle of joy and love." Ricky said with a smile. I couldn't help but smile along. He was right. She never hated a thing. She was so nice and excitable. Not a care in the world. She makes me wish I was that age.

Soon enough Ricky parked down the street. I told him I would see him later and made my way to my house.

"I'm home!" I shouted once I stepped inside. A smile was placed onto my face when I heard tiny footsteps make there way to the front. Soon enough the familiar blonde set of curls came bounding around the corner.

I bent down and opened my arms for her to jump into. "J Bear!" She shouted while giggling. I laughed along with her. Words definitely couldn't explain how happy this little girl made me.
