The same dancers with their same snotty attitudes were dancing same as last week, gliding elegantly over the floor. I ran my hand through my messy hair, put into the same style as last lesson.

Totally unbrushed.

All week Summer had been trying to talk to me. Teasing, flirting, kissing me angrily, and when all else failed yelling. Many times I had almost given in, my resolve waning, but somehow I had stayed strong and ignored her advances.

No matter how much my body begged me not to.

Thankfully there was no sign of Ronald or Summer yet, the room empty of their sarcasm, and it gave me momentary relief.

Currently I was standing by the snack table with Caden. I had dragged him to my lesson again this week, not trusting myself to survive it without him. He had protested, pleading that my friend kept hitting on him boldly and that he should not have to be subjected to it.

Even though he called Ronald handsome and muscular.

But regardless of his weakly supported protesting he was currently happily feasting on the chocolate fountain, smears of it all over his face, as I laughed at his adorable excitement. Suddenly he ducked down, trying to hide by kneeling on the floor and covering his eyes. I smirked at him quizzically, assuming the maids had came over, irritated with his mess. But when someone tapped lightly on my shoulder a cold feeling of dread washed through me.

"Hey Li, miss me?" Ronald said arrogantly, a smirk on his handsome face. "Oh and Caden," he said bemusedly, peering over my shoulder. "I can see your adorable body curled in a ball over there, your hiding skills are shit." I half snickered and half rolled my eyes as Caden pretended not to hear, crawling sideways until he disappeared under the snack table cloth.

"Why Ronald, for a classy boy like you your language is horrid." I scolded in a snooty accent, making him chuckle.

"I never was good at being fancy, never my thing." He stated with a shrug, he then turned towards where Caden disappeared to. "Now if you excuse me I have other-" he paused to send me a suggestive smirk. "-important things to work on." He then turned away from me and started towards Caden, a predatory expression on his face.

"Remember our deal! Don't be an ass!" I shouted after him, making him pause and look back seriously.

"I won't as long as you keep your end of the bargain as well." He stated, pointing slight hand gestures to something behind me. He then mouthed two simple words. 'Ignore her.' Before disappearing into the crowds in search of Caden.

I didn't want to turn around, knowing exactly who would be standing behind me. So I stayed facing the wall, pretending to examine an old, dusty tapestry that was honestly quite ugly.

"We both know that you know I'm here." She said, no emotion in her tone. I didn't respond, staying quiet to avoid giving in. "We also both know that tapestry is fucking ugly." She said making me grin and choke down a laugh.

But I didn't respond.

I heard her sigh and for a few seconds there was silence, making me think she had left. But when a delicate hand grasped my shoulder and spun me around, pushing me backwards until my back was flush with a wall...

Well I kind of figured out she was still there.

She had a scowl on her face and hurt in her eyes, making a feeling I did not like appear in my stomach. But I swallowed it down and kept my face neutral, a bored expression falsely placed.
