The Choice

Erika's POV
It was time. I had to leave everything behind. My friends, my school, the house i grew up in and my boyfriend. I had lived in California my whole life but my family and i were moving to Miami to pursue my brothers dream. It wasn't fair that i had to leave my whole life behind in California. I grabbed my luggage and made my way downstairs where my friends were waiting to say goodbye. My best friend Wendy ran towards me hugging me as soon as I came down.

"I'm going to miss you so much lil hoe" she wiped a tear away

"I'm going to miss you more slut" I said as I slightly punched her arm. I turned and saw my boyfriend, Alex, behind her. we had been dating for a year now. He didn't look at me in the eyes because if he did we both knew we would break down. I slowly made my way to him and put my arms around his neck while he wrapped his hands around my waist pulling me closer.

"hey" I said as I leaned my head on his chest.

"please promise me this isn't a goodbye. please promise me that you won't ever forget me" he lifted my chin up as he said this. God did I love his hazel eyes.

"how can I say goodbye or forget the person I love the most. this isn't a goodbye. we will see each other again I promise" I said choking back the tears. I would never forget him. even though I'm only 16, I knew he was my one and only.

"Erika, the cab is waiting come on now sweetie" my mom said as she grabbed her purse. she sent a smile towards Wendy and Alex.

"coming mom" I hugged Alex with all of my strength and whispered into his ear "I love you and always will. never forget that." I left a peck on his soft lips. "and you stop being a slut and don't you dare to replace me and find a new best friend" i hugged Wendy.

"of course I won't. a hoe like you is irreplaceable" we laughed and hugged one last time before I headed outside towards the cab.

*skip cab ride*

we arrived at the airport and I couldn't say that I was completely sad. now that I had thought about it, it wasn't such a bad idea to move to Miami. we were our way to the boarding gate when I bumped into someone. "shit" I twisted my ankle since I was wearing boots with a medium sized heel.

"I'm so sorry. are you ok?" the stranger said as he kneeled to help me. his voice sounded familiar

"yea yea I'm fine. pretty sure it's nothing bad. just a little sprain" he helped me up.

"What the hell happened to you now Erika?" yelled Johann as he came my way.

"Nothing. just sprained my ankle. I'll be fine. let's go. oh and I'm so sorry for bumping into you" I said to the stranger with out looking at him. I could feel him staring at me.

"no worries. hope your ankle gets better" and with that he left.

*skips flight*

Aah yes. we had finally arrived to the beautiful city of Miami. we grabbed a taxi to the hotel. our house wasn't done being remodeled so we had to stay in a hotel for a few days. I had my own room and so did Johann. I plopped on the bed.

"hey I'm going to go meet the rest of the contestants and the judged. wanna come along?" Johann asked while scrolling through his phone.

"well it's not like I have anything better to do so yea I guess." I grabbed my phone and my earphones. we walked to the parking and got into the car we had rented. Johann drove of course. The contestants met at another hotel. when we got there mostly all of them were there. I just sat on a table and scrolled through my phone. I received a text from Alex.

from Alex ❤️:
hey babe. just wanted to make sure you got there safe. I love you

to Alex ❤️: you're so cute. yes I did love ya more

I looked around looking for Johann but he was nowhere to be found. Just then I made eye contact with someone. Was it really him? I hadn't seen him since 8th grade year. No it couldn't be him...
