I paused for a moment, trying to get my bearings as well as trying to catch my breath. I honestly couldn't even remember why I was running. It was quiet, dark, it was your typical night in the forest with the leaves blocking out any light I might've gotten from the stars or the moon, but my eyes were adjusting. I looked around, none of it looked familiar. Of course, it never does. So, I'm out at night, in the woods, lost.

I got my breath back and leaned against a tree. I felt the familiar weight of my satchel. The strap dug into my shoulder. I sighed, at least I had that. I dug though it and found what I was looking for, my parchment and quill. I wrote two words as best as I could in the dark, and waited.

My eyes finally adjusted as I started thinking, what on earth am I doing out here?? Where am I? What the heck is going on? Were a few of the thoughts, then I started trying to remember what I was doing before hand. Well, what was I doing? Was I hiking? The state of my poor feet said differently, they were bare. And in the woods, that meant they were also bloody and covered in who knows what. I was also in my bed-clothes with nothing but my satchel. Was I running away? No, I'd be better prepared wouldn't I?

I felt through my satchel once more, hoping against hope I'd have my wand. Eleven inches of oak with a white pheonix feather. I did! I had it! "Oh thank goodness!" I breathed, my voicebox hurt... had I been screaming? "Lumos." I muttered, immediately the tip of my wand lit, surrounding me in light and chasing away the darkness. I saw something glinting around my neck, it was a chain, an unfamiliar, golden chain that dipped under my shirt.

I lifted one shaking hand, bringing it to light I saw it was covered in blood. I gasped, what on earth had happened to me? Upon closer inspection of my clothes, I saw I was covered in blood. Not mine, but someone elses.

I heard something rustle in the shadows. I jumped up, "Wh-who's th-there?" Suddenly, I was blinded by brilliant lights and deafened by a roaring engine. I looked into the sky and jumped away as the bus landed before me. I quickly scourgified myself, cleaning my bed clothes, before gapping at the large, purple, triple decker bus. I gathered the parchment and quill, shoving them into my satchel as a young pimply man pooped into my view. "Need a ride Miss?" I nodded. "Good Lord! Wha' 'appened to yeh?" His accent was really thick and I could barely understand him.

"C-Can-n y-you j-just t-tak-ke m-me t-t-t-to the l-l-l-l-" I just couldn't get it out. I hadn't realised I was so cold.

"Leaky Cauldron?" I nodded. "I'm Stan. I'll be your driver this evening. Hop in then." I did so and sat down on a lovely twin bed and held on for dear life.
