Just A Disguise

"Giana!"

I covered my mouth as I tried not to giggle while my boyfriend, Marcel looked for me.

"Where are you?" He called.

I heard his footsteps near my hiding spot, then held my breath. I watched as his feet walked around the whole room, then when he left, I exhaled and smiled.

"Found you."

I gasped when I turned and found him smiling behind me as he crouched down by the bed.

"How'd you find me?"

"You exhaled."

"Ugh, I was so close to winning."

"Almost." He smirked.

I crawled out from under the bed, then he pulled me into the hug. His bare chest was warm and I giggled when I opened my eyes and saw one of the birds on his chest staring at me.

"So, Marcel... why do you dress like a nerd in public?" I questioned as I stared at him.

He was the most beautiful guy I've ever seen with wild, curly hair, gorgeous green eyes, a jawline so sharp that it could cut anything, and a tan, muscular body adorned with tattoos. When we're alone, he tends to just wear shorts and remain shirtless. What I didn't understand is why he tried to hide his beauty with his nerdy disguise.

"I don't know." He replied in his usual deep voice.

"Yes you do."

"It's kind of fun, I guess."

"To get made fun of?"

"To see how people are. Most people are just so insecure and unhappy with themselves, so they take their frustrations out of other people...like nerds."

"So it's just a disguise?"

"Yup, just a disguise."

"Wow..."

"But, I know that you're different, Giana."

"Really?"

"Yup, because even when you first met me as a nerd, you liked me." He admitted as he kissed my neck.

"Because you're a nice guy."

"And you're my partner in crime." He said before kissing my lips.

"Besides, if a strong guy like me takes the ridicule, it could help save someone who's not so strong from it."

"You're so noble."

"I try."

"I love you, Marcel."

"I love you too, Giana."
