Introduction
The world fell into ruins years ago. A huge nuclear tri-war between China, Russia, and The United States spread radiation across the world, killing billions. Within a few years, the radioactivity levels dissipated, but the damage was still evident. Collapsing skyscrapers became safe havens for the wolves and other wild animals that became savage killers, feeding on humans.
Only maybe ten thousand out of seven billion adults survived, maybe a few thousand children, which were constantly dying from disease, hunger, and animals. In the beginning, kids were glad to scavenge off of what they found in stores. They filled their pockets with candy and goodies, but those soon ran, out, with canned foods being next. Starving children were often too slow and were mauled and killed by animals, and diseased children were abandoned. The water was often dirty, and iodine was a rare delicacy.
And so this is how we begin our story, in a world centered around a hell on Earth.
