Loretta spent every waking second with her beloved dolls. Each morning she would redecorate the rooms and strategically place the dolls in their spots. It was the perfect life. But one day she got the news.
"School?" She shrieked as her parents attempted to smile in front of her.
"You'll have so much fun and make new friends," her father explained to her.
"But I have friends," she whined.
"This isn't a suggestion, you have to go. You're almost six now," her mother soothed her angry daughter. "I'll tell you what, if you go to school we'll buy you a new doll for your house." Now this offer got through to Lorrie who eagerly agreed to go to school. She went shopping with her mom and picked out a new backpack, a fresh set of crayons, construction paper of every color, glue, scissors, and a pretty uniform. On the first day of kindergarten she waved her parents goodbye and stepped onto the school bus. This was the start of a new age.
