Stella's POV
"So, do you want to go get some ice cream?" Nadine asked over the phone. We had been talking for hours, trying to finish some science report on something totally irrelevant to my college career, that was due tomorrow. Yet, instead of starting on it three days before, we decided to wait until the night before the due date.
"Sure! Meet me outside my building." I grabbed my apartment keys, threw a hoodie on and went out the door. After running down four flights of stairs, I finally reached the lobby. I picked a seat close to the front door so I could spot Nadine easily. Finally she pulled up in her car. I got in and buckled up.
"I think I want coffee flavor!" I say as we pull up to the Carmela Ice Cream Artisan Creamery. Reading the sign, it sounds like it's a place that the president would go to, but it's no fancier inside than Baskin Robins. "Pistachio sounds good to me." I open the door to let Nadine in first, and she runs to the register to place her order.
After I place mine I walk over to a booth to sit until it's ready. I feel guilty for not finishing my project before coming here, but ice cream is my weakness. Finally, the woman at the register calls my number and I sink my tongue into cold goodness.
Nadine's order get's called a little bit after and she joins me at the booth. Every now and then the little bell that announced new customers rang. It never failed to startle me and each time it rang I jumped, looked up to the door, and then looked around to see if anyone was laughing. No one ever was laughing, well except Nadine, she seemed to think it was funny I was having mini heart attacks every time the bell rang.
As I got caught up in our conversation again about school the little bell rang again. This time when I looked up I saw the best thing ever. Well actually it was a human and the human was a he but HE was every girls dream.
He was tall, tan, and had blonde hair styled into spikes at the front. His eyes were an icy blue that I could get lost in. I needed a closer look so I decided to get napkins. I stood from my seat and walked towards him looking at him up and down. He wasn't anything special he was just an average cute guy with a sweet smile. My eyes swept back and forth, up and down praying that I wasn't making it obvious that I was checking him out. He had such a natural beauty that I'd never seen before.
I got so caught up in his beauty that I hadn't realized I had stopped walking to do so. I looked up and met his eyes staring me up and down with a slight smirk on his face. "Can I help you?" he asked with a slight Irish accent to his voice. I managed to stutter a no and tried to walk away, but he stopped me.
I stood in front of him feeling nervous, but curious, wondering what he wanted . "It must've been something, you stood there for 3 minutes staring at me." he said. "Ummm I...welll" I said, as my face heated up blush rising to it's limits. "Hey my name is James what's yours...is that a better conversation starter for you?" he asked winking. "Umm...yeah" I answered still a little nervous but smiling a little. "Hi my name is Stella, Stella Pierce" I said, now displaying a full smile. "That's a beautiful name Stella, maybe we should talk more over lunch?" he asked displaying a hopeful smile. " I would love that." I answered and started to walk back to the table until I realized that I hadn't gotten his number.
I turned around and saw James walking towards me. I suddenly felt self conscious of how I looked. I made a subtle hair flip embarrassing myself not being a naturally flirtatious girl. He noticed it and made a sweet but sarcastic joke about it, "Hey, Pierce I'm already taking you on a date there's no need to go flipping your hair". I blushed deeply, "Yeah don't ask me why I did that, I mean it's not like I just got asked out by a hot guy", I said making a snarky comment back. "Haha Stella, I'm really starting to like you, I wish that hot guy didn't already get you". Just then his order was called. "Hold on, don't leave me". I nodded, to nervous to even think about moving.
He came back carrying Rocky Road ice cream in a waffle cone(BTDUBS that's my favorite). "Well I have to get going soon and get back to uni", Niall said with a sad smile. "Ok um first I need to get your number", I said with a hint of sadness in my voice. "Oh yeah, that's why I was coming over here in the first place". He put my number in his phone and said he'd call me later. I gave him a smile and turned around sitting back down in the comfy booth.
As soon as I sat down Nadine was giving me wiggly eyes. I glared at her and she started laughing. We finished off our delectable ice cream and cleaned off the table. I headed to the door and waited as Nadine threw her left over pistachio in the trash. We headed outside and went back to the dorms.
HELLO CUTIES....Katie and I started this a long time ago and I'm just getting it finished. I'll try my best to update regularly (hopefully every week). It may be a little extreme seeing as this is my first story on here but i'll try...I'm one of those girls who hates to see "to be continued..." once I finish with a story. Now I know this is short but i'll try making them longer. This is a semi fan fic of Niall but the only thing that resembles him is his appearance if you're a Niall girl at all you'll know he's not like this story will play out to be at all SOOOOOOO YEAH!! Imma go work on part dos now see ya!
