~Jamie~

Tomorrow was the day that would be Elena's last. I asked the girls if I could have some alone time with Elena before we leave the hospital tonight.

They were a bit shocked, but said that I could. It was our last goodbye and the girls were breaking down constantly.

I've been staying with Jesy the past two nights, for she is taking it the hardest. They've only seen me cry once. I haven't shed a tear in front of them about Elena.

I tried staying strong for them, I really did. But it was to much to see them like this. When Jesy goes to sleep, I shed silent tears, trying not to wake her from sleep, which she rarely sleeps anymore.

Jesy was like hard glass, tough, but can still break when hit hard enough.

Leigh was like a turtle, it hides in it shell when it senses danger, so did she. She has barely spoken since the news.

Perrie was like a panda bear, she doesn't like company. And eats a lot.

Jade was like a racoon. She was never very social during this time. She was always hiding in her room, keeping to herself.

I watched as time went on, hours after hours. Unfortunately, Jesy announced it was time to go. She motioned the girls to walk outside after they all gave Elena a hug and kiss on the forehead.

"Take all the time you need, we will be waiting in the hall." She said kissing my forehead and walking out the heavy door.

I took a seat beside Elena's beside, looking down at her.

Her brown hair was always tucked neatly behind her ears, not a piece out of place.

Her freckles made her look like a child, although she was almost 14. She hasn't gotten to see anything out of her green eyes, for three months.

I wanted her to stay, I wanted her to be my sister, a partner in crime, my best friend.

But, my dreams would be shattered tomorrow afternoon. The girl's told me I didn't have to come and watch, but I wanted to.

It will probably break me, but it will be worth it. I sighed and began talking.

"Hey Elena." My voice was raspy, my eyes were tearing up, but I kept them inside.

"I don't know if its true, but, some people say that, people in coma's could her people that talk to them."

I continued, "I'm your older sister Jamie. I'm sure one of the girls mentioned me around you in here. They are having a really hard time. We all just want you to wake up."

"I know it sounds a bit cliche saying that, but it's true." I said taking her hand.

"Just do me a favor tomorrow and try? Please? If I know you tried then, then I would be complete." I rushed. A few tears fell as I said the next line without thinking.

"I love you."

I stayed with her for a few more minutes, drying my eyes so that the girls wouldn't have to watch me cry.

I walked out of the room and saw them starring at the door. They got up and Jesy walked beside me as we exited the building.

The sky was dark, and it looked like it was about to rain. We made it home 10 minutes before the rain started to pound on the roof.

Jesy fell asleep without getting a shower, which I believe the girls did too. I decided to go to the room where they had all of Elena's stuff in boxes.

The room was just down the hall, and surprisingly they never went down there to see what she had left, I guess it was just to depressing for them.

As I walked to the last door in the hallway, I saw that the light was on. Somebody was in there.

I stepped in front of the doorway to see Jade sitting beside a box of stuffed animals. In her hand was a small elephant.

She saw me at the door and smiled. "I'm sorry, did I wake you up?" She asked unsurely.

"No, I just had the same idea of coming down here." I said and blushed.

She smiled and gestured me over. I sat beside her and another box was beside me.

She put the elephant in my hands, pulling out a tiger.

"The one that you are holding is named Toby. It was her favorite, and she was only able to sleep if it was with her. This one is Charlie. She would always have these two in her bed at night. It was a habit and if she lost them, she panicked." She said chuckling.

I smiled. We sat in a comfortable silence for a few minutes before I asked, "Who was her favorite person?"

She gave a real laugh for the first time in a while.

"You know Demi? Right?" I nodded.

"She was her favorite person. Her and Demi were hard to separate. They were best friends, minus the age difference."

I smiled, "Why hasn't Demi came to visit her then?"

She tensed up and sighed, "Well you see, Demi got angry at us, when she heard that Elena was put in the hospital. You already know about all of that. She came once when we were there. She just hasn't been in contact sense." She finished.

I nodded in understanding. Demi was upset that the girls didn't treat Elena correctly. I don't really blame her.

We stayed with each other for what felt like an hour, but was only 45 minutes.

We eventually went to sleep, knowing that tomorrow we needed all of the energy we could have.
