chapter three

"you sound just like your mother did when she met your father!" Gemma started laughing. I had never been compared to my mother besides anyone but my father so it was nice to hear someone that knew her well say I was somewhat like her. 

"so wait, we never got your relationship status." Juice spoke while pointing at himself and the rest of the guys.

"oh, very taken." I lied, again. I had to make myself seem somewhat like an adult. I've kinda been talking to a guy from work, if that counts.
"and whats his name?" this time Jax was asking the questions instead of Juice. His facial expression showed exactly what I didn't want him to know, he knew I lied.
"josh, he works with me." I smiled slightly and tried to act as normal as I could.
"you should bring him by tonight, we're cooking and everything. I need to watch out for you considering what happened with your parents." Gemma, oh lovely Gemma. why did you have to invite me and my fake boyfriend to a cookout?
"I will do my best to have him there!" I smiled my fake little smile and laughed my fake little laugh.
"it was nice meeting you Arya." Jax walked towards me and pulled me into a hug. what is up with all the hugging? my family didnt hug this much within a year. 
"it was nice meeting you too, I'll see you tonight I guess." he pulled away with a smirk still planted on his face.
"you bring that boyfriend of yours." 
"of course, he wouldn't miss it." 
so now mission get Josh to a party with people he's never met with a girl he's never had feelings for, fun. I gave everyone a goodbye hug and left on my quest. First stop, the working place. I had to go to the other side of town to see if maybe he was working and if not, break into the files and get his number. and now I'm breaking the law for guys that I don't know because I had to lie about having a boyfriend, the life I live. I should really learn to shut my mouth when it's needed, i probably never will but I should. So here I am breaking into my bosses office to get a guys number that I will later have to explain how  got. Finally I landed on Josh's file, I typed his number into my phone and put everything back as it was before I touched it. As I locked the office door back up I heard someone unlocking the entrance door and I took a run for my desk. 
"who's there?" my bosses voice made my eyes grow wide and my mind went wild on making up stories to why I was at work when no one else was.
