You're My Angel (one shot)

              Yui is a disable person, she was stuck in a hospital bed, because she has been infected by an unknown kind of virus, her brother was easy go lucky, he is zero Cross, he is a working student, but he don’t realy come to school because of working to pay for her sisters bill in the hospital, and also because he don’t like to have friends...

         Zero know that his sister is realy in a very bad situation, her sister because of this virus can be dead in just a second, that’s why she is in the hospital, to make sure that anything won’t happen to her cause the doctors are in guard, even if he already know that her sister won’t last long anymore, he still fight that very sad fact, he still continue to buy her sister some anime magazine, manga’s, anything but anime, even if it’s out of date, or his sister has lots of copies of it, he still buy not knowing anything about her sisters feelings, cause she shows her brother her normal smile and thank you, every time it comes to visit her…

            Yui usually ask her brother about the normal life outside the hospital, cause she never felt it before, yui was only a baby, when her family finds out about the virus, her parents died in a car accident, that’s why her brother’s main role is to make sure she is alright, yui know the fact she won’t last long, even if she go in a big operation or a therapy, that’s why she always make sure she makes her hard working brother happy, every time it visit her…

         December 23rd that year, evening, zero was still in work as a gasoline boy, then shift into a waiter in a restaurant, even if he works almost 24 hours, he still manages to smile, for he could earn lots of money for her sister…

      December 24th, evening, zero asked the doctor of his sister to take his sister out for tonight, it was Christmas eve after all, the doctor said yes, but the doctor asked him to make sure he won’t make his sister tired, cause it could make her condition worst…

      Zero and his sister walk out of the hospital, for the first time, yui was out of that bed, out of the hospital, for the first time in her life, the happiness was realy alive in her eyes, she was at the back of her brother, who was carrying her all the way to their destination, while they were walking, yui’s eyes can’t believe if this was just a dream, a very wonderful kind of dream, cause she could see the lights twinkling all over, those are Christmas lights, and things that she only see in television, her excitement overflows, even if it’s just a normal thing for others, it’s a big new thing for her…

“Hey cute sis, you’re big bro earn lots of money now so you could eat in a big and wonderful restaurant, even those newly out manga’s…”

“arigatou onii-chan…”

[arigatou means thank you, and onii-chan means brother]

“Huh?”

“You”ve done you’re role as perfect it could be, thank you…”

“Did I do it that well? I think not, cause I can’t give you everything you need…”

“no…, thank you for being the best…, thank you for not leaving me alone…, thank you for staying w/ me…, thank you for loving me…”

   Then her tears slowly fall down

“You’re my angel yui, and I love so much”

But yui didn’t answer, it’s like she is already asleep in his back

“I work hard, realy hard, so let’s enjoy tonight, its Christmas eve after all…”

But yui was still in silence…, zero stop in front of a giant Christmas tree in the park, its twinkling w/ lots of light…

“Hey sis, look it’s the very big Christmas tree in town, its twinkling like the stars in the night…”

But yui still don’t answer, zero put down yui in a bench not too far from the Christmas tree…

“Sis, wake up…, don’t miss it, it’s once in a year…”

But yui didn’t answer, and when zero touch yui’s hand and face it’s too cold, it’s like an ice, like the snowflakes slowly falling from the sky, when he finally conclude, yui’s dead, he started crying…

“Hey sis, wake up…, don’t miss it, it’s once in a year…”

Then he holds its hands

“don’t leave You’re brother pls…, you are the only reason I’m fighting to live on, the only reason I still want to wake up every morning, the very reason I smile even I already want to cry…, yui don’t leave me…”

*Then a flash back

“onii-chan even if I’m gone keeps moving, don’t stop because of me, and live because of yourself not mine, because if you stop nothing will change, you will still fell the worst pain, so move-on, don’t let it stop you… ”

Then she smiles and look outside the windows, where the stars are twinkling…

“Promise me, you will have lots of friends, good friends, and finish your studies and have a normal life…”

Then she looks back to zero…

“onii-chan pls…”

“I’m not sure------------”

“Live for yourself not mine….”

“I promise…”

Then she smiles….

*end of flash back

“Is that why you said that? cause you are going to leave me?”

Then he holds her hands softly

“Ok, I promise I will do what you want me to do, I promise it right? my little angel…”

Then he hugs her…

After 3 years, zero finish his study’s and have lots of friends, and have a normal life, he visit her sister in the cemetery…, he place the basket of flowers…

“Hey sis, it’s been 3 years, and thank you, thank you, for telling me that I’m such an idiot not to understand anything in this world, thank you for letting me to move forward, for telling me that everything I’ve done before was a big mistake, except you…”

Then he started to walk away…

“You’re my angel sis, now I started to feel what life realy is, to move forward and to let go, but not forgetting the greatest part you’re with it…”

Then he smiles…

“thank you, angel yui…”

[Remember: moving forward and letting go, is what you called life, cause if you don’t move forward and still can’t accept that fact, nothing will change, and it will still hurt the same…]
