A/N: The AU I came up with has to do with Norito being in a coma due to an accident and he's trying to grasp his identity as it slowly slips away and is being engulfed in darkness. The poem is being narrated by him and when he refers to 'she', that is his demon whom I discovered from a roleplayer's headcannon that it actually shapeshifts into whatever he wants it to be, in this case, a woman (almost like a caretaker). Yes I know, I'm terrible.
Don't worry, she said.
You'll be safe here, she said.
Well, how can I feel safe if all I see is
Darkness?
I am bound by these invisible chains,
As I stare into the black abyss.
Wait, what is my name?
I don't remember.
Who am I supposed to be?
I don't remember.
Struggling to get free,
I am terrified.
The answer lies within the light,
But I cannot reach the light if my eyes are closed
If I can just open my eyes...
I need to wake up... WAKE UP!
