Draco,Alice,and an unconscious Hermione carried by Draco followed Both the professors to Dumbledore's office

"Gummy bears"she said the password

They climbed the stairs and found themselves in the big headmaster's office. McGonagall brought Hermione back to normalcy.

Hermione's eyes fluttered open.

Draco sighed in relief.

All the three students were facing two angry professors and the soon joined Snape

"We want to know what exactly happened"said the strict voice of the Gryffindor head.

Draco started telling what all he knew and then Hermione continued.All the others were totally shocked by what happened in the forest

Then Alice told the rest.

There was silence in the room.All the three professors were silent

"Do you even know that you have escaped something terrible just by sheer luck??"shouted Snape.

"Severus...go check out magic charms over the ground and forest.He couldn't have escaped "said Dumbledore

"So...he has come here??"asked McGonagall with such a shocked face and trembling voice .

All the three students were shocked.Even when she was talking about Voldemort..She had never shown this kind if reaction.

"Um...what is happening professor?"asked Alice in a timid voice

"All the three of you are fools!!!You all could have died!!What do you think if yourselves??And how did you,the two girls,go without him knowing?"shouted McGonagall.

Teas trickled down the girls' eyes

Draco felt sad for Hermione getting scolded

"Prof-professor...I let them go in...it was wholly my fault Do not scold them"he said

Hermione started at them with wide eyes .She would have never thought that Draco would be defending her instead of asking for pop corn and enjoying the show

She first wondered if he knew what pop corn was.

"You?Mr Malfoy ..I never expected this kind of act from you Two prefects breaking a lot if rules in a single day with one if the best students from Gryffindor?"she glanced at Alice.

Dumbledore smiled "Enough Minerva.And Alice?He is alright.Do not worry about him"he said

The trio looked up at him in shock.He knew why we had gone there And moreover..None if them had said about Andy or Cedric..trying to hide it

And here he was,the best headmaster of Hogwarts,knowing everything.

"You three can go.But I am warning you..one toe out of line and all of you will be out if Hogwarts before you can say 'quidditch'"she said and sent them off

She was having a heated discussion with Dumbledore.

"I-I am so sorry Hermione.It was because of me all this happened"Alice said.

"No Alice.It was all my fault.And do not worry about Cedric..he will be fine.Go and take some rest."She said.

The slytherin prefects headed to their common rooms in silence.

No one was there.Both Sat on the couch.The room was eerily silent.

" Draco..why did you...say that the it was your fault and save me?"she asked Draco.

"Because...I did not want you getting scolded and you getting sad...I couldn't look at it"The words slipped out of his mouth without a thought.

Hermione was shocked beyond words.And both of them were looking at each other.

Hermione couldn't talk.So she decided to act.

Draco thought the same.

They closed the distance between them.
