When Massie moved to New York from Orlando, she thought her life was over, until she met Tori. Tori and Massie met and soon became best friends, wait, inseperable. But will one mistake berak them up? Read to find out.
The Beginning.
Massie's POV.
I sighed as I picked up my suitcases off the airport floor. I and my family just got off the plane from Orlando to New York. My father was a successful businessman in Florida, but got offered a new, better job. So we moved here.
My dad snapped me out of my daydream and I followed them out of the door into the cab that was taking us to our new home. While driving through the city, I examined every building, every person, everything. It was so different.
Back in Florida, there were no buildings over 3 stories high, no more than 5 people on the street and 12 houses on each block. But this, this was nothing like I was used to. Minutes later, the cab pulled up to an old apartment building. Are you kidding me? I thought. I rolled my eyes and walked into the building.
I followed my dad up the stairs to the third floor and into our new room. The apartment was way smaller than I was used to.
There were two little bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen and a living room. It would be good for now, but I was definitely not staying here forever. I'm not stubborn, and my parents know that. But they also know that we all deserve better than this. Back in Florida our lives were great, and this isn't going to mess them up.
The Meeting.
Victoria's POV.
"Please say hello to our new student, Massie Spears." Mrs. Burns said, once the bell rang. I rolled my eyes. I was hoping for a new friend, but this girl was nothing like me. She was wearing a pink v-neck shirt with a tank top underneath and a mini skirt. She was a total girly girl. I was sitting in my seat in the back on the science room with my band t-shirt and ripped jeans.
"Why don't you sit back there next to Victoria?" She pointed at me. "Victoria, raise your hand." I slowly put my hand in the air and she moved towards me and sat in the open desk next to me.
"Hi, I'm Massie." She whispered to me, lending out her hand. I shook her hand.
"Victoria, or you can call me Tori." I smiled for real for the first time in a really long time. For the rest of the period, Massie and I passed notes and actually had some inside jokes. When the bell rang, I invited Massie to sit with me at lunch. "I just have to go to my locker real quick." I said, turning and opening my light blue lock. I took out my lunch and slammed my locker closed.
After going through several hallways, we arrived at the cafeteria and I showed her my normal table. Ryan, my boyfriend, and some of his friends were sitting there.
"Massie, this is Ryan, my boyfriend. Ryan, Massie." I sat down and Ryan kissed me on the cheek. Ryan introduced Massie to all of his guy friends that I didn't know that names of. I usually didn't pay attention to things like that.
After eating my lunch, Massie came up to me and said, "Can I talk to you alone?" I nodded and followed her to an empty table in the corner of the cafe.
"What's up?" I asked.
"Who's that guy over there?" She points to a sports guy across the room, trying not to be seen.
"Oh, that's Ashton Reed." I smiled. "I mean, he's totally hot, and every girl wants him. Why?" I asked.
"Oh, uh nothing. It's just that he asked me for my number when I was getting a water." She said. My heart almost sunk.
