Liv slides her hand down into Zach's while they walk down the bleachers ramp to go get something to eat. While Liv scans the concession stands for something to eat, Zach is staring at her, admiring the great privilege he has to be in love with Olivia Hurley, hoping that she won't notice him staring at her. She turns around and meets his gaze as he freezes, realizing she caught him looking at her. He smirks down at her and says, "So what do you want to eat?" and pulls out a 20$ bill out of his pocket. "Um they have cotton candy over there, do you want to get some of that?" She replies, gesturing to the cotton candy stand. "Yeah sure." He says, and they walk over to the cotton candy. In the background, they can hear the National Anthem beginning to start, and they both stop in unison and put their hand over their heart. When the canon goes off midway through the song, Zach looks over at Liv again. Under his breath, he murmurs to himself so that it's barely audible "I am so lucky to love her." And then he gets an idea in his mind. All during the rest of the song, he still stares at her, thinking about her. At the very end of the song, he has a split second to decide whether or not he wants to do something, and he chooses yes. As soon as the singer is quiet and everyone is clapping, he says for the first time to her face "I love you, Olivia Hurley." And grabs her chin, pulls it towards him and kisses her. {letter to Liv and Zach from author: You're very welcome}
