Chapter six- Clumsy is as clumsy does.
Melody's POV
It's been three weeks since I have heard from Corey and I can't help but wonder if I have scared him away.
I see him as a friend or a Pen Pal since I have never seen him in person. Maybe just maybe he got sent out on a mission I hope that his ok, it would be horrible if something happened to him.
"Melody we have been at school for the last ten minutes and you haven't even blinked what's going on with you?" Conny demanded in a slightly agitated voice.
"I'm worried about your brother" I spoke softly without thinking.
I blame it on no sleep. I miss my naps after school and my sleep in on the weekends. Ahh they are so bliss.
"Same, I haven't heard from him and he usually lets us know before he gets sent out." Conny answered with a shrug while we started walking to class.
Thankfully we have our first class together. The only thing is that it's with Penny and of course Ron.
Let's just say it has the 'A' group in it. Walking into the field because it's PE and we have been playing foot ball lately.
I can't stand foot ball, especially when it's the one time people decided that I am not invisible.
Plus seeing as I am extremely short and have a bit of weight on me they decided that I am a easy target.
"Good morning class, I thought we would start out with a run." Coach River said while walking onto the field while blowing his whistle.
Oh yeah time to work off the extra donuts I had for breakfast I thought sarcastically. I wasn't even half way around the field before I had to stop to a fast walk.
Why! Why does donuts have to be one weakness! It's like when I see them I have to eat them.
It doesn't matter if they are, strawberry, chocolate, glazed. If I saw them I would eat them.
It's like they have a sign on them and are say 'Melody you have to eat me I am finger licking good'.
Running again before I got yelled at for being behind the others, I made a promise to myself that I would by myself a donut after school for a treat.
"Run run all day long, going to get fit so I can eat some donuts all night long." I sang in my head to myself while not paying attention to where I was running.
Tripping over something most probably my own feet, I couldn't stop the yelp from escaping my mouth as I put out my hands to protect my face I heard a crunch and a snap.
Cradling my arm while siting on the ground wasn't what I had planed for today or for the coach to come running at me.
"Melody! Are you ok?" He demand while touching my wrist which in return made me yelp in pain and cry even more.
"I-I don't thin-k s-oo" I stuttered softly while using my other arm to dabbing my tears away.
Coach stood up shacking his head before calling someone over with his hand. Which made me look up and realise that everyone and when I say everyone is staring at me.
"Conny can you please take her to the nurses office I think that she has broken her wrist." Broken wrist? Doctors? This can't be happening!
Conny put her arms around me and lifted me to my feet, which I have no idea how she manage to do that.
