"You heard me, i love you Hailee." He said seriously, i let out a laugh. "No you don't you barely know me."

He sighed, "Please come to my soccer game tonight, if you won't come i'll leave you alone for the rest of your life." He said, looking me in the eyes, after that he just walked away.

I stood there not knowing what to do next until I heard my phone buzz.

Unknown: hey guess who? :-)

I looked at my phone puzzled and quickly reply.

Hailee: a 80 year old man who stole someone's phone to get your number?

Unknown: haahhaha it's Bryan. Wanna meet up at the coffee shop next to your house? I'll explain everything later.

"Hey Hailee, how did things go with Cody?" Maia says taking a sit next to me. "Are we still on for movie night?"

"Yeah I gotta go take a rain check, I have to meet Bryan."

"Bryan? Your ex? When was he suddenly more important than me? A friend who was here all the way." She says with a hurt expression. I raised my eyebrow.

"Yeah sure go ahead I have to go help my mom at the shop anyway." She laughed and bided goodbye.

"Getting into a fight with a boy who just confessed his feelings and meeting up with your ex-boyfriend all in the same day? Wow you are on fire." I mumbled to myself.

The only thing i could think of today was when Cody confessed his feelings for me.

Do i feel the same? I don't know, but i'm really happy if he's with me and he is himself. He makes me blush alot tho. I smiled just thinkinh of him.

"Hailee? Why are you smiling?" I heard ly teacher say as everyone turned around. "Oh nothing." I quickly said as i  looked down being emberassed because i just got caught.

Cody what are you doing to me?

------

School was finally out and i decided to go to the coffee shop so this meeting with him could be over. Why did i even agree?

I reached the coffee shop and i alredy ordered a drink for myself, i got my coffee and went to a table.

I waited for like 10 minutes as i saw him coming in the shop. He saw me and walked over to my table sitting across from me.

"Hey, long time no see." Bryan laughed. "Same to you, well like you know I say the same to you not-" I took a long pause and we both burst out laughing.

"Why are you here anyway? I'm asking this is a not so rude way." I smiled.

"Oh, I have a game tonight maybe you an come? I mean if your busy I totally understand."

"I'd love too, I mean we haven't seen each other since we well, broke up." I looked down playing with my fingers. "Yeah that's what I wanted to talk about. Hailee I-"

My phone started ringing loudly."Sorry it's my brother, I have to take this."

"Hey what's up?" I ask. "Are you okay? I heard what happened with Cody and I just wanted to ask if I should be an overprotective brother it not." He chuckled. I roll my eyes.

"No, everything's fine. I'm at the coffee shop. Talk to you later bye." I ended the call without giving him a chance to say anything and walked back to my table.

"So did you want to talk about out realationship?" I happily smiled.

"Oh no, it's nothing."

"You sure about that?" I frowned, he nodded. "But where is the game tonight?" I smiled. "At northshore highschool." He replied "Do you know where that is?" He asked, i nodded. "Yeah, actually it's the school i'm going to." I chuckled.

"You will vote for my team right?" He asked. "I don't know it's weird because you'll be playing against my school and yeah." I mumbled. "Hey it's okay." Placing his hand on the top of my hand, he smiled. I smiled back.

He looked on his phone and he immediatly stood up. "I got to go, i'll see you later right?" He asked. I nodded and he gave me a hug.

I let my eyes follow him, as he went out of the shop.

I was about to look away as i saw Cody already looking at me, we made eye contact and he stormed out of the coffee shop slamming the door.

I sighed.

-------

"Hey good luck out there, I heard the other team is pretty feisty." I joked. "Please look at these guns." He said showing off his muscles.

"I'm gonna go sit there. Go whatever you team is!" I said pointing to the top of the bleachers. "And Hailee," I turn around.

"My team is called the east varsity manatees. You can call us evm." I smiled.

Cody's pov

I spot Hailee at the other teams side. I stare at her. "Why did I have to say that I love her? now she thinks I'm a weak guy who just confesses his feeling to very thing girl he has the slightest crush on." I whispered to myself.

"You okay bro?" One of my teammates gave me a pat on the back.

"What? Oh yeah I'm so ready for this game." I say excited. "Yeah go team!"

"See you in field." I walked out to the other teams side and began to look for the guy Hailee was talking to.

I was walking around to find the guy and i finally found him "Hey." I said, making him turn around. "Oh hey dude, good luck on the field, may the best team win." He smiled, putting his arm out waiting for me to shake it but i just rolled my eyes.

"Stay away from Hailee." I snapped.  "Excuse me?" He raised an eyebrow, "You heard me, stay away from her." I glared at him and walked back to my team.

I looked at the people at the bleachers trying to find Hailee. I found her sitting somewhere at the top, she saw that i was looking at her and she shook her head looking away.

I heard the whistle blow as we all went to the field, standing in our positions ready to start the game.
