I Promise (KHS Short Sasuke Love Story)

Chapter 16

Sakura brought me dinner, which I declined. I'm not very hungry. I looked at my bandaged wrist. I told myself that I wouldn't fall in love anymore. Why does this always happen? Do I believe in love anymore? 

Why do I live? What is my reason for living? To get hurt? My mom died, my step dad abused me, my ex cheated on me, Mikoto and Fugaku, who I considered my family died, and Sasuke said he loved me. He promised he wouldn't hurt me. He promised he was going to protect me, but instead he made the pain comeback. 

So what is my reason to live? I bet no one would care if I died. Might as well be happy I left. I sighed as I looked inside my bag. 2 bottles of painkillers. I looked at the scissors I had in my bag. Why did I pack them? I took the painkillers in my left hand and the scissors in my right. Did I know I was going to end my life? I opened the painkillers. 

Before I did anything I got my phone and gave a quick text to Sakura. 

'Goodbye.'

I quickly reopened my wounds. I made a deep cut on both of my wrist as I swallowed as much pills that I could. I layed on the floor. This is the end. I closed my eyes. At least I can be with you, mom, dad, Mikoto, Fugaku. I can finally make the pain go away. 

I heard my door burst open, since I locked it. 'Goodbye everyone.'

Sakura POV

I was doing my homework as I got a quick text. 'Goodbye' I realized it was from Mei, and I ran to her door. I kicked it open, because it was locked. I saw her close her eyes and fall to the ground. Blood around her frail body. 'Goodbye everyone'  I heard her say. I quickly called 911.

No way I'm letting my best friend die. 

In about 3 minutes the ambulance came and took her to the hospital.

I was sitting in the waiting room with my parents. I called Hinata and the gang, but I made sure no one told Sasuke. I sighed in some sort of relief when I saw Hinata and our other friends come over. 

"Wh..what, hap..happened to .... Me..Mei?" Hinata stuttered. "YEAH! WHERE IS SHE! IS SHE OKAY!?!?" Kiba yelled. 

I told them the whole Sasuke story, and I saw Kiba clench his fist. "That bastard!" He yelled. I sighed. I soon saw two raven haired guys running torwads us. I glared at Sasuke, but Kiba punched him 

"YOU FUCKING BASTARD! WHY ARE YOU HERE!" Kiba cursed. My dad, Naruto, Shikamaru, and Sai held him back. Sasuke was knocked down, but he wasn't fighting back. Itachi stood infront of him. 

"Don't touch my little brother." He glared. 

I got between the two. "It's Sasuke's fault she's in the hospital, so why is he here." I glared at Sasuke. Itachi sighed. 

"After Mei's step dad when to jail, my mother signed papers  saying she was going to take care of her. After my mother died, I would take care of her. I am an adult and I love her like a sister." I nodded. 

"But why is he here?" I asked referring to Sasuke. "Sasuke loves her, why would he not be here!" Itachi protested. I scoffed. "If he loved her then he wouldn't go kiss other girls." Itachi's eye's widen. 

"YOU DID WHAT!?" He faced Sasuke. Sasuke was still glaring at the ground. "It's not what it sounds like! Karin was mad that I like Mei better than her, so she purposely kissed me when Mei was looking!" He shouted. I mean it did sound like Karin. 

"Yeah, but you were gone for like 10 minutes!" Sasuke sighed. "Okay, look it was a mistake! Okay! I didn't know what I was doing! I love Mei! I love her okay! I wouldn't do anything to harm her!" He yelled. A nurse came over to calm us down.
