It was December 10 my birthday was tomorrow; and my dad knew I loved to sing so for my birthday he is taking me to audition on Asia's Got Talent my favorite show ever. I had just found out so we were still packing, I was so pumped I couldn't wait to meet the judges especially Melanie Chisholm. It was now 4:30 and we had done all our packing and we were heading towards the airport.
THE NEXT DAY.
" oh my god I can't believe we're finally in Asia, dad I want you to be 100% honest do you think I'm going to do good."
" Oh, Ava I don't think I know your going to be great I'm mean just look at how your mom sounds." He responded.
"But dad mum can't sing at all." I replied.
"Ya your right let's just forget I ever brought up your mom, deal." asked my dad.
" OK deal " I said in a curious toun.
THE AUDITIONS
I was at the auditions and naturally I was freaking out for to main reasons. One, I had to go on after this 12 year old named Gweneth, and she was AMAZING. Two, I had to perform in front of all four of those judges not knowing what any of them were going to say...I was one huge nervous wreak. ( Ava stop stop putting bad thoughts in your head your going to do ju-)
" Ava, are you ready " the to boys called josh and Michael asked snapping me back to reality...."Well" the asked yet again.
" Oh, um ya I'm ready. " I replied for as I could tell they were getting inpatient.
" Ok your on in 3..2..1..go.
"H-hi" I said introducing myself.
"Hello" Melanie replied in a very polite voice." Tell me, what's your name, where are you from, and your age please."
My name is Ava McAnally I'm 12 years old and I'm from Carrabelle Florida."
" Ava that's such a pretty name, what song will you be singing today?" She asked me...little did I know at that moment she was thinking ( oh my god, I told Jonathan and Brandy that I did plan on meeting her when she was older but I didn't know I was going to be meeting her this early. I really want to ask Anngune and von ness about this but I'm afraid of what they'll tell me to do.) " anyway so what song will you be singing for us today." She asked again.
" um I'm going to be singing Weak by you actually."
" oh how nice, well Ava good luck." She responded.
"Every single morning I wake up and there's a moment of please then I remember I get up and I get on with what I chose but oh how I wish....."
3 MINUTES LATER.
" Ava that was really lovely let's see what the other judges thought." Anngune suggested.
David-" ava I thought that for the most part you were fantastic, but you were pitchy in some places, i can only imagine how you're going to sound when you're 14 15 or 16 I bet it's going to be extraordinary, but as of right now you are a little pitchy.
Von Ness- well Ava I thought you just blew it out of the water and I really think you are our best performance so far, and I al-
" I'm sorry Van Ness can I just interrupt you for a minute?" Melanie asked.
" Sure" Van Ness agreed.
" okay well for one I'm just going to have to disagree with David I really really really thought you were fantastic."
"Come on Melanie even you have to agree she was pitchy in a lot of places." David replied to Melanie's comment.
" Oh come on David did you even hear her, she was fantastic, you know what all that matters is that I thought you were great and for that reason I'm going to do what I've haven't done this season chhhhhh
At that moment I broke down in tears I couldn't believe that Melanie Chisholm had just used her one and only chance to use the golden buzzer on me, I was going strait to the live shows....
A LITTLE WHILE BACK STAGE.
Me and my dad were on our way to the truck when someone tapped my dad on the shoulder....
" Oh look Ava it's Melanie C., why don't you ask her what's she is doing out here.
" Come on Jonathan, cut the crap I want her to know now that she is here and Ava I really hope you don't hate me after, but you have to know." Melanie responded....
" ok, can someone please explain to me what is going on here." I asked curious and suspicious at the same time.
" tell her " Mel said.
" tell me what " I replied for I was growing impatient.
" Ava, Melanie is your mom. " my father finally said.
" WHAT! " I exclaimed.....
